Hitler created a lot of things we still use. He started the first anti smoking campaign as well as the first animal rights program (ironically). He also started the VolksWagen (VW) company.
He did not start the company Volkswagen himself. The Nazi government at the time put out a competition for Automobil companies to build the best car for the common German people. The winner would get a lot of government funding to build a factory for German cars. One participant company among many was Mercedes Benz. But I believe the company Volkswagen got created just for this competition and won the whole thing.
Also, yes he was an anti smoker, but his best friend in school wrote in his book about Hitler, that Hitler smoked in school. Maybe it’s the reason he later hated smoking.
Such divas, they should try living in coastal Sweden. I live in Malmö and a zippo lighter, "windproof", can often be useless in windy Scandinavian coastal weather. You look like you're trying to blow yourself off trying to shield the lighter from the wind and light your cigarette. I'm guessing the Olympic committee knows this, hence why the flame doesn't pass through Scandinavia. The zippo lighters casualties alone would make people send angry letters to the Zippo company in the US: "You claim your products are windproof and yet Scandinavians can't get it to work in windy weather. How are you not ashamed of your false advertising?"
Why do people hate the torch relay???
