    What is the ADXL do you use?,If you use ADXL345, this acelerometer has a bandwidth (BW)

    Looks like a bearing issue from the graph as well as unbalance and there's a rub in there somwhere! . Interesting little project.

    Great job! Was that BPF?? At top speed it was like 140hz.
    Maybe 15Hz fan speed and 12 blades fan??

      I think he is using the ADXL345, I suspect this video is also the setup looks identical

      ADXL 345, graphing software is called KST, its free software. It reads its data through a .txt file that's getting constant data from the sensor live through another free program called RealTerm

    Very cool, but it didnt tell you anything you didnt already know. I was thinking of the exact same project for a very similar application, but realized it can only confirm what I already know.

    Check out this video for finding vibrations in machinery: ua-cam.com/video/rEoc0YoALt0/v-deo.html - it uses a video recording instead of a vibration sensor.

    You can immediately see that the accelerometer is read on the I2C bus! what real "online" mode are you talking about!? The graph plotter shows that the sampling frequency is very small and therefore more than half of the data needed to build a full-fledged distortion graph is lost.
    And why is this video without a full process of balancing the fan rotor!?
