- Hey Everyone! After a lot of requests on Instagram and Facebook to show how I lowered the truck I decided to make a walk around video showing what I have done so far on the truck. Let me know if you have any more questions about the build. Subscribe for more project videos!

Here is a bit more about the current specs:
440 4-Speed 1968 dodge D100 Short-Bed sitting on a 78 shortbed D100 frame. Van lower control arms in front and axle flip in the rear. 1973 C body 8 3/8 rear axle (correct width for the 78 frame)

WHEEL: Cragar Soft 8s
SIZE: Front 17x8
Back Spacing: 4.5
LUG PATTERN: 5x4.5
TIRE SIZE: Front 225/50/R17 // Rear 245/65/r17

in 1975 one of my coworkers drove one similar to yours, it was Plum Purple. I asked he said 'I went to the dealer and ordered the truck and when they got to color, I said I want something different' Probably the only Plum Crazy sweptside Dodge ever built.

Nice. I lowered my ‘91 dodge ramcharger but not this way because of course mine is an suv but I love these too.
yeah!!!😁 the frame under my truck is almost identical to the one der the ramcharger since I used a 1978 frame. 72 to 93 were pretty much the same!

DAMN DUDE!!!! Love your truck!! I almost have my '65 D100 on the road. I lowered it using a chrysler 300 front end (K-member & torsion bars) ... I love the patina on your ride!
I had seen a bunch of trucks for sale through the years, but I really didnt want a multi colored truck. and I wanted short bed. I couldn't be happier that I found my truck!😁
That's cool. A lot of guys were swapping the 72 up D100 front frame clip to the 61-71 frame, then getting dropped spindles, etc. Great work!

I just picked up a 85 w150 To play around with. It’s very clean but looking to pull the 318. 360 is an easy replacement but your 440 sounds amazing.
you can't go wrong with a 440!!!😁 yes the 360 is a much easier swap, but a 440 is a bolt together project as long as you have all the parts
I just bought a 72 D200 that had been setting under a tree for 17 Years. Very straight and nearly no rust. Can you go into a lot more detail about the way you lowered your truck?

I just used a cap from a spray can and painted it body color haha
Where did you get your kit for the axle flip?
I pieced it together, I bought a caltracs traction bar setup for a 66 to 70 b body mopar, and modified it to fit the truck. and that gave me the lower spring plates, and then I welded on new shoes on the rear end
Did you clear coat or use linseed oil? looks like clear though..
neither, I just polished the original paint
What year vans do I look for with the pocketed lca's?

440 sounds mean. What was done to it?
stock rebuild on a 1968 block, 10 to 1 compression, nothing special for a cam, but edelbrock carb and intake with long tube ceramic coated headers into 3 inch dual exhaust, 3 inch by 14 inch glasspacks out the side of the bed
All of that work when all you had to do was modify the suspension of the 1968 frame. And you wouldn't have to cut off or transform any of the body of the 1968 D100 body. SMH.

how is it ruined? what can't it do now that it could do as a 2wd slant 6, 3 on the tree truck? cause it's now faster, handles better, rides better, and stops better
