The main reason this is heartbreaking is because Bruce always had to put his mission first, and because of that, he eventually ends up old, alone in an old mantion with no friends, family, or lovers left and has absolutely nothing left to live for, that's the saddest consequence of being the batman 😔
I always saw chase me as Bruce’s Lat night with Selina the last time they ever encountered one another and this is Bruce remembering the night that’s why there is no dialouge because to Bruce he only remembers the events of the night and that final kiss
I don't know where this short fits in the DCAU (if it's even canon) but I too like to think this is the last time Batman and Catwoman see each other. It felt more of a proper send-off for Selina than the episode Cult of the Cat where she ends up in Paris after stealing tons of goods and facing no real consequences for her actions. I like to think she blew all her money in Paris and returned to Gotham to steal from the richest man, Bruce Wayne whom she had dated in the past before ultimately being locked away for good.
Best part is when Batman pulls away when Catwoman tries to kiss him. Batman is extremely autistic and shows all the symptoms. But one of his biggest symptoms is he doesn’t like being touched even if it’s physical affection by family or friends.
Ok, I was like it's part of the fun got them......... up until she sicked a black panther on him, if this was any other dude, I'd say she's tryna kill him, but this IS Batman, so let's say that she thought he could handle ONE BLACK PANTHER, once he does, she actively sends like 4 lions after him, this is either some really intense roleplay, or she's tryna kill him, playing
