Hey is the cassette release of this from Tracking Waves legit? I’m worried it might be a scam since this label is the same dude as Alternate Skies and he is notorious for scamming and not sending tapes/vinyl.
This is a true tribute to the famous Vektroid and Floral Shoppe in every way. Some songs use a sample from the same album of the sample in the corresponding Floral Shoppe track. I really appreciate that. For example: Diana Ross is sampled in track 2, the same album that has It's Your Move (this one uses Touch By Touch). Not only that, but it's mixed in the same way, with the lyrics first being only one word at a time, as the first part loops, and with the echo reverberating as it goes on. It's basically like if you switched out the song Floral Shoppe samples, a concept I find really fascinating. Also I love the detail of it being Macintosh MINUS. I'm really glad I found this hidden gem. It's cool to know that someone out there did this out of love for that classic album.
Also, the cover art is pretty much the exact reverse of Floral Shoppe's. The figure is on the right side instead of the left, the letters showing the name of the artist and album are emerging from the left side of it's head, the picture of new york is now set in the night instead of the morning, and the album's cover uses a purple background with black checkers instead of a pink background with black checkers.
The original Floral Shoppe sounds like I'm slowly falling asleep while looking out my window to a sunset. This version sounds like I just woke up, and I'm seeing a sunrise outside my window. It feels like a direct sequel to the original, and it's very interesting. Absolutely delightful! I was wondering, could I talk about, and put a bit of this in a vaporwave video I'm working on?
Huh, for me it's the opposite (This one sounds like what floral shoppe sounds like falling asleep and the original sounds like floral shoppe while wide awake)

I love this, you can feel it’s vaporwave and you can point out the songs jazzy theme and it’s cut and chopped samples. It almost feels like The florral Shoppe album from a similar dimension.
Wasn't expecting to actually enjoy and love this! Thought it was another memey low-effort jab at vaporwave but it's actually really good and a true tribute to the classic Mac Plus album!
This is a great tribute to Macintosh Plus! macintosh plus got me into dancing fantasy hard (i have several CDs) back in 2016 so it felt good recognizing the samples in this that are different from the original floral shoppe
Actually i think this pretty good, really, it's like hear vaporwave for the first time, i known and heard so many sub-genres of it, and i never see one artist do the exactly same thing as Floral Shoppe, and for me this hits the beats very close, congratulations to the artist, come to BRAZIL.
Please don't pull this album, it is truly a masterpiece, it shows how well you are with mixing, sampling and just overall how you know how to capture the vibes of the original floral shoppe, I really love how the tracks are cut to have the same mannerisms like the ones in FLORAL SHOPPE, I greatly look forward to more work from you and I also really am interested in sample-less vaporware. Thank you for this wonderful masterpiece!!
Returning to this a year later, tracks 3 and 4 are my fav off this album and I have to give props, major props to how well produced the glitch aspect of these tracks sound. I’m having trouble finding more subtle, groove glitch music and these tracks get really deep into that floral shoppe sound that feels glitched, but in a rhythmic time. Very cool stuff and thanks for keeping it uploaded 🎉🫶

I totally get what you mean. To me it feels like looking back on the memories of when I first listened to Macintosh Plus and got into vaporwave as a whole. If I had to condense those feelings and memories into a song it would be that track.
This truly lives up to its name. It fits perfectly into the origional album. If these two were played end to end, I woudn't tell a difference. Everything is perfectly mingled together to the point where songs from the first album are mixed into this one, its a beautiful dance spiraling around perfection. Truly a masterpiece.
This has to be one of the best tributes in the history of art and entertainment. So respectful of the original, it's like hearing floral shoppe for the first time again but already knowing what to expect.

This is the pinnacle of the sound experience. I thought the OG floral shoppe was amazing, this is just perfect in every way. The mood of each song fits so perfectly that it's a crime to listen to each separately. This is an audial masterpiece that needs to be enjoyed in one go. ❤
Last summer I did my first all-nighter, decided to listen to this album while watching the sun rise. Best decision I made that whole summer, I can't even begin to describe how incredible of an experience it was.
Wow just wow... This entire album is amazing from beginning to end. I've probably listened to it more than I have the original lol. It feels like a more complete and polished version of floral shoppe. I would've instantly bought both the cassette and vinyl but I noticed that it's on tracking waves, a label that has robbed me once in the past so I hesitated but still feel so tempted to buy only because of how amazing it sounds. My only question is if the vinyl release is legit or not? If anything, would you ever consider moving the album to a different, more trustworthy label? Similar to how understatement's small circle went from bludhoney to VILL4IN. I really want to support you and this album but I also don't want to get robbed again 😢 otherwise incredible work. Please keep making more music and please don't pull this album either. It's not unsuccessful, it's underrated 😊
Hi! Thanks for the words of support. I hope this is sincere. Vinyl is legit, but ... I no longer trust this label. Some people never got their tapes. Tracking Waves said that it is worth sending an email to label if the cassette didn't come. The fact is that to me, the author of this album, the cassette also didn't come and I wrote to the label about it, but I didn't receive an answer. On the one hand, the label is managed by one person and it is really very difficult, there may also be delivery problems that are independent of the label. But they didn’t even answer me about the fact that the cassette with my own album didn’t come to me. This is at least strange... Maybe someday I will re-release this album on another label. However, I am not sure that this can be done. And I'm not sure if I want to release this album at all. Tracks here are based on copyrighted music. I wouldn't want to have problems with this. P.S. Sorry for the mistakes in the text. English isn't my native language and I know it very poorly, so I translated most of the text using Google Translate.
@@vaporinsider Thank you so much for the response! I was very sincere in my original comment and I do enjoy the album very much. Ah I see... Wow I'm sorry to hear that. You would think that they would send one to you, the actual artist but even then they didn't. Yeah I can confirm that they don't send anything. Around last year in January I bought a cassette from them that I never received. I'm very patient and understanding when it comes to buying from labels because it can be a pain to ship so many out by yourself. But after 7 or 8 emails they never responded to me and next thing I knew, it was too late to get a refund through paypal. So I basically donated the cassette money to them. It's not just me either. So many others on both bandcamp and reddit have complained about these guys. Honestly, it's the lack of communication that makes things even more frustrating. If they're too busy they can just tell us and we can wait but instead they stay quiet forever yet still take our money. Yeah I can completely see why you wouldn't want to since it is heavily sampled and can created a huge risk for you. A shame, but I can completely understand where you're coming from. If you ever do consider to move it, I'll be first in line to grab one 😊 Anyway, thank you for responding so quickly. I really appreciate it and thank you for clarifying all of my concerns. I really look forward to any projects you have in store for the future! 😄 (Also don't worry about the language. I was able to read it perfectly fine!)
I was wondering what the sample for 18:20 was, I'm familiar with it because it was also used on Nouveau Life's New World (But a lot slower), been driving me crazy for like 3 years!
I promise I will come back and listen when I've digested the original Floral Shoppe, I only heard it for the first time this weekend. This is a great idea though looking forward to hearing it.

Please make more of these bro. Everybody sees the potential within you 🙌🙌
Bro... this is outstanding. It literally sounds like Macintosh Plus herself made it. Holy crap bro good stuff.
Track 2 is sampling Diana's Touch by Touch.

This is amazing work. Eye-opening and pioneering.
I was wondering what the sample for 18:20 was, I'm familiar with it because it was also used on Nouveau Life's New World (But a lot slower), been driving me crazy for like 3 years!

But track 6 manages to really hit the nail on the head as a continuation of the style.
