I think part of why Hanzo was able to defeat the Predator was because he already decided this would be his final battle. He wasn't focusing on escape, he knew that wasn't an option for him. He was entirely in that battle to take the Predator down with him. Frankly, that speaks to his resolve and courage. He's an absolute badass and I would have loved to see him make it out alive, but at the same time, it sort of illustrates how much you have to do to take out a Yautja. You have to team up, outsmart, or fight without any intention of protecting yourself.
Hanzo was embodiment of Samurai in this movie, and for Samurai, similar to predators, fall back is the sign of cowardness. That's why none of them did retreat from battlefield.
That yakuza duel scene was easily one of the best parts of the movie.
So fucking sick.

A new predator game would be awesome and would have so much potential. Imagine being able to choose different planets where you would have huge hunting grounds with different creatures to hunt. All these planets would have different habitats like jungles, deserts, cities etc.. Customizing your predator's weapons, armors and even different yautja types like the ones from the 2010 movie. Parkour systems similar to AC but more fleshed out.

I have to say the Scarab predator, the original bad super predator, has somewhat of a good insight in the nature of hunting. In that is it truly right to be selective with your prey or should all be tested and treated as prey regardless of their shortcomings. One philosophy says to segregate prey while the other say all prey is equal.

Interesting indeed. Hunting today is by design to do just that, treat all prey equal, in the sense of being efficient in order to benefit both parties. You do not want an animal to suffer, nor do you want to spend hours tracking it after wounding it.
Exactly, then there is the concept of evasive species hunting were all bets are off and the prey can be hunted until its eradication.
Would love to see previous predators fighting humanity throughout the ages. Didn’t one of them give Danny Glover’s character an old “musket” pistol in Predator 2? How badass would it be watching them fighting samurai, vikings, knights, etc...?

@@tannerbradley9107 preg was almost prefect. It lacked a lot of aspects that made the first predator film fantastic. Like the suspense and gore, plus naru's last fight against the predator was dumb on how in control she was the entire time even when she was pinned she never felt truly endanger. Plus the gun Easter egg was dumb cause that clearly came from a predator that survived the trip. So those are my reasons for why I didn't like the film as much. It's what made this film titled "predators" even dumb when the predators here where to careless or didn't react fast enough. Or got successful taken out from a self sacrifice scene. And it's been a problem that all the films had after the first film. The first film at least showed Arnold screwed the entire time after the mud came off and only lived cause the predator was enjoying that last kill to much. Like he's been bored and wanted a real challenge.

Dom Sawyer best part of the movie to me. Since the predators have been coming here for so long I've always wanted a movie with them fighting samurai clans. I guess this is as close as I'll ever get to that.
He's still alive in my book and I hope he is in the sequel if there is going to be one

Well I suppose I went off what the guy in the video said, and he mentioned based off what’s happening in the movie that the super predators seemed like outcasts so I guess we don’t know for sure.

It's like a late Christmas present! Also the scene you included at the end was one of if not my favorite part due to the reason he challenged the Super Predator being selfless pretty much and his subsequent achievement albeit at the highest price.
Those predators should have been shredded by the mini gun. The rate is between 2000 to 6000 rounds per minute mounted on a helicopter. But no they always have them dancing around the bullets. We need a little more realism when it comes to low tech human weapons. They can be presented at least with more respect on these film.

Thats a fair point Jabir, but Miniguns arent very accurate + the predators were invisible. Nikolai essentially couldn't see what he was firing at
If you want more realism, Jabir, then no one would be using a minigun as a hand held weapon. The lightest versions are @40-50 pounds without ammo or a power source and, even if one could carry everything, no human being could handle the recoil.

I wonder if the "Super" Predator and the Predator is like the difference between a Soldier and a Hunter? The normal Predators could be the main species who focus on hunting and gaining prestige for their clan. Then Super Predators, who also hunt to train their skills, are given better equipment and are like the military soldier version of normal Predators.
I recall in AVP: Extinction (I know it's not much to go off) had an interesting idea of military Predators that used weapons that were far less honourable, designed for War and were only brought out in extreme situations. Maybe these soldiers went rogue and is why they were banished? Because they were using military equipment on hunts?
Just a thought. Also, could Super Predators just be very old veteran hunters or do you think they are a subspecies entirely?
The veteran predators have their own classm super predators are different. Also i dont think they have a military i think they are the military seeing as every predator are warriors any one that goes to war with them is fucked
Bradlee Apodaco You might be right about the Super Predators, but the Predators absolutely have a "soldier" type class. They use weapons that wouldn't be fitting for a hunt, far too destructive and unfair.

Before the Yautja developed faster than light travel, their interstellar travel took a very long time. This caused very little contact between each world the Yautja populated because it took hundreds if not thousands of years to travel from colony to colony. Each colony was cut off genetically so some of these colonies evolved into their own sub-species.

Exactly that happened in Africa (forget where). Chimps and bonobos are genetically identical, but their mentality for survival is different because of one factor. The chimps lived on one side of the river where food is harder to get. Whereas the bonobos are on the other side and have lots of food available.
You know why humans beat Predators in the movie? Plot. Predators would decimate our species.
They win against humans due to optical camo. How often will they lose when they can be seen?
They would never go to war with humans. They just pop by to hunt once in a while.
Humans are smarter. Dutch and Harrigan showed that.
Festus if they can build a spaceship capable of traveling galaxies and they can just casually pop up on earth while we aren't even fully capable of traveling to the moon and back whenever we want I doubt we're "smarter"
Ender, You're assuming both species are equally as old and that the Predators achieved interstellar travel before us therefore concluding that they are smarter but you in fact did not take into account the age of their species. They most likely pre-date humans by thousands if not hundreds of thousands of years. (Hinted in the non-canonical AVP movie)

It's very interesting that the Yautja deem humans, alongside xenomorphs, as the ultimate prey due to our cunning and craftiness. The predators deem this specific trait as worthy of being hunted as they do constantly look for more prey that presents even bigger challenges. At first they deemed us as week due to our smaller size and lack of strength but they begin to see our fighting prowess, willpower, and like i mentioned before our craftiness. This process of hunting selection is extremely intriguing because it also helps us realize that humanity is truly a remarkable species

In my fanfiction, there was a clan war going on and different variations of Yautjas depending on their environments. My main character came from a semi-aquatic clan who hunts in water, even had a village near the ocean. Until the Super Predators attacked the village.
The invisibility aspect is what keeps them from being taken down all the time so easily. They wouldn't stand that big of a chance against armed humans without it.
I love how you include one of the best scenes with that fight at the end of the vid! Thumbs up.

I think that "Super Predator" is just a fancy name for the creatures I myself prefer the name Black Predators because the black predators are not that much bigger so I think they are equal and the only difference I think there really is at all is the lack of an honor code and more brutal weapons just like the bad bloods however I don't think they are like the kinds of predators that fucking use queen pheromones to control xenomorphs

All predators are honorable. That predator in that movie didn't have to fight him with a sword at all. He could have just shot him and he would have been dead instantly. You must remember. They dropped all them on that planet with parachutes and could have killed them on earth. They gave them weapons to fight back and time to assemble with each other.

Just because you can find one example where it seemed honorable does not make it so (it could be that one guy had more honor then is brethren... or he just thought he could easily kill the guy or wanted to test himself, but most of their actions would be considered dishonorable by their kin).
@@GameLoot first off we humans name them predators. A predator kills for survival. These things are game hunters. They do it for sport. Do let's correct that up front. If you've followed predator movies you'd know that this race if beings are extremely honorable. If they wanted to wipe all humans out they would have. Just like we humans could just wipe out any specific species on this planet if we want. Those predators armed each human with guns. They did not have to do this. Think of a hunter hunting say deer. We humans are to coward to give the deer bullet proof armour and away to defend itself with lethal weapons. We go in a slaughter these animals. We kill lion and tigers with technology and don't give the animal a fighting chance. Predators actually give us a chance to run, hide and team up to survive there attack. That predator most definitely didn't have to fight that Asian guy with a sword. He could have chose to stay invisible and shot him with that energy blaster. I'd rather die with a chance to fight my enemy than just get killed like a sitting duck.

MrAVAT4R she will die , it takes a lot of skill to kill a predator, he said so himself. It will take someone with tons of practice in survival skills and fighting experience to kill even one

MuddledGaming it's been shown in the games that predators can handle queens with some effort on their own, ripley cannot win a 1-on-1 with a predator, much less the super variants

There is a way to tie-in some things here, due to the addition of "The Predator".
Even though The Predator was a mess, some elements actually have promise.
The DNA genetic insertion, is one of them. If these 3 "super" Predators are Bad Bloods with no code of honour, then they would willingly go ahead with genetically enhancing themselves.
So in "Predators", what if these "super" Predators, are Bad Blood Yautja, that have been experimenting with genetically enhancing themselves?
To me, this would make sense and have the Yautja still come off as the natural ultimate hunters.

i’ve only ever seen the first predator and in my opinion it should have been a standalone movie, because some mysteries are best left unanswered, and you don’t need to know what a predator is to enjoy the first movie.
Yeah unlike normal predators the super predators are selective and choose elite prey probably because it’s more fun for them while the regular one seems to hunt any armed prey one by one on their preys homeworld
Love these lore videos man. we were totally into the cross over universe as kids back when like doom first came out. internet was scarce and the only way you could learn was via expensive books. so we used to go to FP to read the books (and sometimes shoplift them) it's great to be able to just sit here and get all this lore, almost 30 years later.

I always felt that the super predators were less skilled than the regular predators seeing as they seem to rely on their technology more, hunt in groups, and have no honor while loosing to normal humans in close quarters combat

Have you ever read AvP: Three World War? The story has an outcast tribe of Predators with VERY similar behavior to the "Super Predators" including using other animals to assist in the hunt, being larger and generally more violent, and attacking/hunting other Predators.
My fiance has the whole collection I think there is three or four of the comics the bad blood clan has tamed xenos and a women who was accepted into the honourable predators clan an Asian lady I think she was

They so need to make a Predator game that delves deep in the Yautja lore. Maybe even have have a bit where you can upgrade to a Super Predator Yautja but a honorable one. Plus, after finding how dangerous their home planet was who wouldn't like to visit the planet and explore the dangers that makes them such of badass hunters?

The Falcon at least, has some kind of sense of " honor " when confronted by Hunter. They fought Blade by Blade. Both are true warriors

The duel between the Asian Yakuza gangster, & the Predator, is the best part of the film!💯⚔👊
The super yautja predators were exiled instead of being executed for their crimes because the other predators would at a later time launch a hunting expedition on them. They send other creatures for these super preds to hunt inorder to make them stronger and more experienced, like fattening pigs for slaughter, as stronger preys make better hunts. Knowing that they are going to be hunted, these super preds are perfecting their skills for the ultimate face off. The smaller pred which was captured was actually a part of a team of three, sent to hunt them down. But they failed. There are other stronger super preds who are exiled. They will eventually be defeated, but only because the two human survivors help in the hunt. The battle is EPIC!!!!
You see that of been a better film. Seeing predators vs predators. I wouldn't care if it was in subtitles or was just them barely saying anything and it was just them making predator noises. I feel that why they always do people cause it's cheaper and they want dialogue in the films or corny scenes or dumb jokes. I mean they could have some of the predators speaking English since they travel to earth and learn the language while being there so it wouldn't be dumb to see a few practicing prefect English or something like that. But whatever Hollywood or who ever owns it now are retards and never pull off a successful franchise with stupid decisions they make.
The Berserker is the most Violent and Dominant out of the 3 being the Leader,The Tracker being like his Right hand man I guess watching his Prey from afar and his pack of Hounds. The Falconer being the more Honourable out of the 3, only using his Blade and waiting for his Opponent to make the Move. There won't ever be a film 'better' than the original but there's plenty to like about the Sequels and how they Expand the Lore. The Berserker is my Favourite; Ruthless, Intense, Badass

Afroplasm not in a fist fight hell naw. Normal predators have been seen getting shot multiple times without flinching an not not even needing medical attention then going back into battle. And we've seen predators throw grown men like rag dolls 10 feet like nothing. I doubt mike tyson would be avle to put up a fight. They like fighting himans becasue were crafty and think up stragetys to beat them that they wouldnt even think of

Everything the "Super Predators" do only suggest no strict acceptance of Honour and have no patience... of which is their weakness... if that hostage Yautja was in it's prime, i bet it would of gave that Berserker a run for it's money using more than just brawn.
The Yakuza fight however shows that they all have different personalities.
If the predators actually got out of sports form and unified as an army. They would destroy all mankind within 6 hours. They have to much technology.

The heart beat vision mode was seen in Predator 2 when the city hunter used it to see the baby's heartbeat in Leona's womb and not killing her or the unborn child. No honor in that.

They may be bad bloods but I'd say falconer was actually a pretty honorable predator. Sure he was with tracker and berserker but he had a fair duel, and tied. He only used a falcon really, which isn't seen as a dishonorable thing in their culture. It's mostly why falconer is my favorite. He's the closest thing to an honorable predator besides classic in that movie.
Also, even if he's not canon, I'd love to see how these three, namely berskerer, would react if they ever met Ghost. Ghost is the definition of a legendary predator. You should check him out if you haven't heard of him.

What I really admire about the super Predators unlike the classic Predator is the lack of code of honor and collateral damage, which makes them a lot more dangerous, more efficient, and very little weaknesses, but I've noticed about both super predator and classic Predator are their best strengths are also their weaknesses at the same time, which are their infrared vision and the cloaking device, because if a person can figure out how to bypass both of those, the person has a better chance on defeating the predator, like shown in the first predator movie that was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger as Dutch.
I would love to see a movie about them and their home planet, like what consists of their day to day life.Also I would Love it they made a movie showing them before the 3 are picked to go earn their mark!Like that happened before they were dropped on Antarctica in Alien V.S Predator!

The way the Super Predators were set up and explained, is way more reminiscent of the new Enhanced Predator in the upcoming film.
Mr Super-Kami Popo what I think they’re doing with the super predator in this film is that he is an escaped/fugitive predator who came to earth. He’s been enhancing himself genetically to be the most superior of his race, so Yautja Prime sends a classic hunter predator after him to take him out and human mercs get caught in the middle.
Mr Super-Kami Popo if super predators in Predators were 8ft max this new one is a solid 9-11ft because he dwarfs Boyd Holbrook in some scenes
