I'm playing better than ever because of your videos. I never was a good manager of the game but I have improved so much because of you. Just advancing the ball, playing within my skills, and managing the course have helped me so much. Thank you.

love this guy, he's a stat driven coach. facts speak for themselves. Wanna shoot par? NO penalty strokes...NO bad decisions...No mishits...NO 3 putts.. and the one completely out of your control: NO BAD BREAKS. If stats were kept on just those, it would surprise even the pros. All these together are why I'm a 20 HC.

And always have a positive attitude. I golf a lot with my youngest son (10 handicap)he often comments on how can I possibly be so happy coming off the course with a 100 or a 99, why because I’ve had a great round, so many things went well. Enjoy the game!

I like the idea of visualising water on the green and where it would pool to help reading 👍 good video.

Great demonstration that experts don't play swashbuckling golf. Even Phil Mickleson didn't gamble all that much. He played the odds. He'd just developed such incredible touch with his short game over many years of daily practice that he had very tight tolerances on his shots, especially his short game shots. So the average TV or gallery viewer thinks he's playing chancy, gambling golf, going for really tight pin placements and such. But he's not. He's playing the percentages. It's just that his are very very tight, at least on the days that he's on and playing well. On the days he isn't, we don't see him on TV. :)
Scratch golfers aren't championship level touring pros. They are trying to shoot level par, and given that their scratch handicap index is the average of their best 40% of their scores, they probably don't quite shoot level par on average. So they are going for mostly pars, with the occasional birdie to offset the occasional bogey, and trying to avoid blowup holes altogether. It's kind of like those of us trying to shoot 90 or better by stringing together lots of bogeys, with just a few pars offsetting the occasional double, and trying to avoid the really big numbers that plague us. Same principle. Just a higher level of skill for the scratch golfer.

Keep the ball in play and the scores will look after themselves. A video I’m going to put out in the next couple of weeks will show which 2 shots are the most important.

Very very sensible advice. I would say though, that this course does not seem to have many hazards. No rough or bunkers in sight. If I missed the fairway as he did on the par 5 I would be up to my shins in rough searching for it!

The course has water on holes 3 and 6, and every hole is on quite a severe slope which is its main defense.
The holes I used (7,8 and 9)are on the slopes, and bunkers around the par 3, a decent challenge
