2022 YT Capra First Ride & Review - A YETI OWNER's Perspective | CAN it CLIMB Like a YETI?

- I was fortunate to be able to be able to compare this 2022 YT Capra with my current bike the Yeti SB130. I currently ride a non-lunch ride version of the Yeti SB 130 equipped with Industry Nine Hydra Hubs, We Are One Carbon Rims, Fox Factory 36 Suspension, and Sram RSC brakes/Drivetrain. I reviewed the YT Capra at my local trails that I know very well. Therefore, I can really tell you how this elegant looking beast feels and handles in comparison to my current Yeti SB 130! After my review I can say the only thing bigger and better about my Yeti SB130 is my bigger water bottle! However, YT hook me up and I will sell my Yeti and give into the DARK SIDE!

New to MTB and coming from racing Moto for 10years. When I was looking for my first bike I walked into my local shop who had a lightly used YT Capra Limited #348 out 400 made. From my limited knowledge of MTB at the time it seemed like a good deal for $2,600. Shop owner was selling the bike for his friend. Once I bought it I did some research and realized I got the unicorn model and got a smoking deal. Been riding it for a year now and can't imagine riding anything else! Bike climbs good and crushes anything going down with confidence. Pumped you like the bike. I had no idea Yoshimura was in the MTB game. Coming from moto and buying several exhaust systems I know they have top knotch products. I will be seeing what I can slap on my MTB !
Hell yeah man , yeah same attention to detail and performance put into our products Chilao pedals and ENDH stem 🤙🤙
I’ve been waiting for a review on this bike. I’m ordering one now!!!

Pre-ordered my capra core 4 in September. Getting more and more stoked, the closer I get to the April ship date. Thanks for posting this to help me get through the wait!! Looking forward to more Capra vids!

Core 4's got delayed until August from what they told me about my order, I cancelled due to it :(
I’m here checking out the bike Jack Moir will be riding in 2023. He’ll be frothing.
The 38 is a great fork on the Capra / i have the 2021 Pro AL with 180mm travel / a beast in the rock gardens and is fast as heck in the flow / takes awhile bracketing to get the 38 dialed ( found they like faster LSR and more LSC with 10-15 more air than recommended ) but once set it’s a great platform of a bike suspension
Your guy's pedals are awesome!
Great review, what wheelset were you running pls? 29er or MX?
29"
great climbing on those difficult sections. looks super steep and you kept it planted.
Yes, thanks
You boys are having too much fun!
Says who? 😂
These pedals are rad!!
Is that the stem that comes with it? If not , what stem system is that?? Looks pretty unique...
That's our ENDH stem!
Yeee 🤙
🤙🤙🤙
Just ordered one should be seeing it soon cant wait.
Hell yeah man so stoked thanks for letting us know 🤙
@@yoshimuracycling no prob great review man
How tall are you and how does that medium fit? I'm around 5'8-5'9 and inbetween a medium and large. Any sizing recommendations?
I’m 5’6
I Would recommend a medium. 🤘🏽 I’m 5’4” and ride a small, I’m right on the edge of a medium but any medium bike I rode was just too big, it’s way more fun for me with a size small to throw the bike around. 👍🏽 hope that helps brotha! 💯🙏🏼
@@Tarkus808450 i’m just under 6ft and looking to get a large hoping it’s the right choice
i’ve literally just ordered the large, can’t wait
Yo dude what size did you get?
Crazy Bike 😍
Yes sir
Where are you riding in this video? Looks like you’re at Greer. I’m picking up my Capra Core 3 next week, so stoked to hit those trails.
Yes sir it is
@@yoshimuracycling Hope I see you out there! I'm getting the Yellow Capra
@@yoshimuracycling so not happy that we are losing some of trails at Greer.
I’d love to see these black pedals with turquoise pins
Ooohh that would be oober 🤩
@@yoshimuracycling it would look great on Yeti’s 😀
What makes this like 3k more than the Core 2? Suspension isn't that much more. GX isn't that much more. Same crappy Postman dropper. Nearly same wheels.
Guessing it's in the frame?
Suspension and wheelset.
Isso sim que é uma bicicleta de fundamento.
🤩🤙
29er or MX?
29
What size Yeti do you ride?
Medium
Had to get some m4x10mm screws to get more bite from the pedals.
Awesome stoked you were able to customize them to your preference 😁🤙
Great bike , rides smooth ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing .
Mi apellido es Capra, que procede.
🤙🤙
