My favorite place in London. I remember going to the late Ryuichi Sakamoto's concert there in 2005. I especially love the towers, wish I could afford an apartment there. 🙂

It's great, you almost wouldn't know you were in the heart of the city (or just inside the outer border 😉)

¡Qué lugar tan impresionante! Me fascinó el recorrido. Un saludo desde la Ciudad de México.

I liked that. I miss seeing people and hearing the sound of construction. It was peaceful. I wish I could walk around and explore things

@@TheAmbientAmbler I never have lived in London. I visited there two or three times in the late 1990s from my home in the US.

Before my accident, when I loved to explore off the beaten path. Passing by the mundane and pretending it was a familiar everyday sight. Wondering what the weather was like when the concrete was poured. Imagining the smell of coffee and blueprints in the architect’s office. Pretending that the elevator I passed by and would never see again was one I took everyday in an alternate life in a strange land

0:30 So funny how the pigeons used the trains to commute from station to station looking for food.

Fritz Lang, the inspiration of the 1927 movie Metropolis, would have been proud to of see his future creation come to life.
Out of all the concrete jungle in London with the likes of Elephant & Castle, Thamesmead, and others that have come and gone, Barbican definitely felt like the most premium place to roam.

    I find the Barbican bewildering.

Have you seen the TV show Luther? Lots of Barbican in it. Which other shows or films have been shot here?

My uncle told me Sunday morning, hung over waking up to skateboarders clackering over the brick/tiled floors, riding the curves and rails whilst the sounds echoed from wall to wall into his painful head.

Is Barbican Hall in walking distance from Barbican Underground Station?

The perverse possibilities of the Barbican. You could be invisible here. You can get a notion of floating across the city. Saint Etienne, Language Lab, Finisterre, 2003.
