Oh, how I love watching these videos! Happy you are finding more time to stitch! 👏🏻👏🏻 And your blooper at the end made me think of me!! 😂 Anyway, so much I could say about quilting…but the most special thing to share is that it brings back memories of my mom and all the hand quilting she did. For each of their grandchildren, my dad who was an artist by profession, would design 22:36 ❤ a quilt. Then he and my mom would go pick out fabrics and my mom would stitch whatever my dad designed. These were called Grammy quilts and each of my three children have one.
I have made just one quilt many, many years ago, and although I adore and admire them, I will leave quilt-making to those more skilled than myself!! Cross stitching a quilt, however, is right in my wheelhouse and I would love to create one using a Primrose pattern and floss!!
My mother was a quilter and made them all by hand, from start to finish. They decorate my house today. I was a 'want-to-be' quilter but just couldn't get it. One day, I decided to learn to cross-stitch and started out with a Paula Vaughan pattern. Since I didn't know this was not a simple pattern, only that it was a quilt, I finished 3 years later. I would love to try the Primrose Quilt patterns. I am much more experienced and know I would love them. Happy Thanksgiving.
I love seeing all of the new designs! I look forward to your video as I'm getting ready for bed on Sunday evenings. It's almost cool enough here to pull out a quilt!
It was nice seeing you the other day Shelly!! So many fun patterns!! I'm getting ready for Quilt guild this week! We get together in the morning and quilt all day before evening program and meeting, but I am usually cross stitching!! I find my two hobbies are always in competition for my time! Thanks for sharing all the good stuff!!
“Second-day” hair is often better because there’s more product in it haha! It’s so funny how I seem to get a lot of compliments right before I’m due for another haircut… maybe because I’m forced to spend more time on styling it? Thanks:-) Shelly
I'm a quilter, as well as a cross-stitcher. Just won my first ribbon for a Santa quilt entered into our local guild's quilt show in October! I love stitching Primrose Cottage.
Always enjoy your videos. The new designs make me want to snuggle up in a quilt with a hot cup of cocoa while I map out a new list of projects to stitch in 2025.
Congratulations on your increase in space in your shop! I am hoping to someday learn how to quilt. In the meantime, I have been blessed to find little mini quilts and even a big pinwheel quilt at an estate sale! My mother-in-law and her mother loved to quilt, and unfortunately, we never had any handed down to us
I would love to be under a quilt right now with a huge cup of cocoa with whipped cream on top! Yum! Great flosstube. I do enjoy seeing your automatics!
A very long time ago I decided to make a quilt, using a pattern called Drunkard's Path. I cut out the curved shapes and even made some of the squares, but then I discovered Cross Stitching...I still have the pieces but I'm afraid it will always be a work in progress...
Drunkard’s Path sounds like a terribly complicated first quilt pattern lol. I never finished the lap quilt I started in a class many years ago. I really wanted to hand quilt instead of machine, but just didn’t have the time.
First of all I’m over the moon with excitement to win your give away! I’ll always think of you when I stitch and finish it! Love all your fun new charts. Really cute! I was wondering if I could order the Lugana that was used with the Heart in Hand, “Always You” piece. The 32 count Knock Turn Lugana. If you have it, let me know how to contact you. Thanks again Shelly for your delightful FlossTube and generosity with your give aways!
I have 28 Nocturne Lugana and 32 Nocturne Belfast. Because they are PTP hand-dyed, they measure smaller than the original fabric count. You can decide and email me at just.stitching13211@gmail.com
Morning my Monday friend, but today is Tuesday because my retired brain is confused in days😂. Btw, I’m cutting out a Christmas red QUILT while watching you. We went to Lansing for a train show on Sunday and also had a free car wash!! Enjoy seeing your filming area, good job using all your space. Shame on you, my stash diet is blown with all these pretty Primrose charts. Maybe a SAL when you get to the point of wanting to stitch Christmas magic??? Have a blessed week my friend.
I have "Always You" in my kitted up pile.Looks great on that fabric. Quaker quilt type designs are so fun when the stitches come together. Cute finishes. I saw Kory stitching that Freebie. The blue wool will be a nice texture. Thanksgiving will be just us 2, and lots of stitching I hope. What will your dessert be this year? Ha, another car wash freebie.
Another great video I want to tell you a story. I was learning how to quilt with a lady from our church she was the only one left. We used to have about 10 women that would meet one day a week and quilt together for other people out in the community and they would take the money and do something for a family or for the church and so there was one little lady left and she really wanted someone to learn how to quilt so I tried my best but they want such a little bitty tiny Stitches. It’s really hard. I think I could do a small project again if I get the nerve because she has since now passed and there’s no one left around here to really show you how to do hand quilting, because most people have the long arm now so that’s my story. I want all the new patterns and behind you where you’re standing there’s two patterns with floss in them can you tell me what the patterns are just when you get time thanks. Have a great week.
Thanks for the story! I took a quilting class many years ago, but it was terrible timing as I was in grad school and couldn’t keep up with the weekly assignments. I chose to do a lap quilt, but wanted every square to be different… and I spent more time researching designs than I did actually quilting lol.
The projects behind me are Little House Needleworks designs with Classic Colorworks thread paks… Fall Feathers $39 and Merry Christmas $52. The designs only use some of the colors, but they curated a color palette for the season.

Thank you for showing all the pretty patterns. Cross stitching a quilt puts two of my favorite things together!
My husband's grandmother made my daughter the most beautiful quilt when she was a baby. It is very special to the family.
I am currently finishing a Christmas quilt. My quilting has taken over my cross stitching time, but I do love them equally! Have a wonderful week.
My twin sister made me a beautiful quilt. Thanks
Great video. I like seeing all the new releases that you now carry. Love all the Primrose Cottage quilt patterns.
I'm the head of the a Quilt Guild, those ladies keep me hopping....always fun watching and thanks for sharing....please take care and be safe
I made stamped cross stich quilts for my kids and for my grandkids, i hope that they will cherish them and use the fir their children
Enjoyed the video as always.
I’m going to pull my quilt up over my head now and go to sleep. Good night
Primrose Cottage quilt patterns are so adorable! I just want to stitch them all!
Love all the new Primrose Cottage Christmas patterns - especially the cocoa quilt. Your framed pieces are beautiful!

I do love a quilt on a cold winter night.

Those Paula Vaughan charts were beasts! So pretty when finished:-)
Love your new video spot! Good luck with your storage now! My daughter would love to have a handmade quilt! Happy fall

Quilt a quick ornament- Primrose Cottages have so many of them! Thanks for showing the new holiday patterns .❤❤
Congrats, Danette! You will receive Cocoa & Halloween Quilts (or any other Primrose quilt charts if you already have these). Shelly
I loved this video, it has gotten me into mood of wanting to quilt again. Everything was so beautiful!
Just love your love!
Fall has arrived to Maryland, sleeping under our favorite quilt…
Your new space looks cute! I hope to visit some day.
Stitching quilt patterns is so much fun. One of my favorite things to stitch.
I gotta tell you Shelly…your hair looks amazing!!! Love all your stitching & new charts ♥️
“Second-day” hair is often better because there’s more product in it haha! It’s so funny how I seem to get a lot of compliments right before I’m due for another haircut… maybe because I’m forced to spend more time on styling it? Thanks:-) Shelly
Love the new Primrose Cottage charts. To stitch or to quilt, that is the question!
I'm a quilter, as well as a cross-stitcher. Just won my first ribbon for a Santa quilt entered into our local guild's quilt show in October! I love stitching Primrose Cottage.
I love all the quilt designs. I'm glad they are crossstitch charts as I don't quilt.
I am pondering making a quilt (first ever!) for a grandson for college next year. I am hoping to have a turkey stitch finished for Thanksgiving.
Always enjoy your videos. The new designs make me want to snuggle up in a quilt with a hot cup of cocoa while I map out a new list of projects to stitch in 2025.
I have been cross stitching for years, but I've never attempted to make a quilt so maybe one day I will!
Congratulations on your increase in space in your shop! I am hoping to someday learn how to quilt. All the new patterns are amazing! I want them all. I can see how you'd like to start another one! I wish I knew how to quilt! Take care
Love your videos, thank you for posting!

@@juststitchinginc9777 I know, right? Back then my eyes were bigger than my brain. And still are...
My mom made quilts and I’ve a.ways hoped to make at least one in my life. But in the meantime, the Primrose quilt patterns will do just fine.
I'm not a quilt maker, but want to stitch some small quilt patterns. Enjoy your family Thanksgiving and your post holiday stitching! 🦃

I struggle sewing but would love to quilt someday. Not sure I m patient enough
Always love a quilt wish I knew how but gotta sew and I dislike sewing😅
My quilt is almost finished.
Time to start a new quilt! It’s been a while 😊
I would like to learn to quilt, however, it would take away from my stitching time! Happy stitching!

I love quilting but just like when I'm cross stitching there is not enough hours in the day!!
Luv your videos. !!!!! Thankyou !!!!
I wish I were clever enough to quilt.

I wish I had a quilt story. I just keep telling myself that I'm going to learn how to quilt when I retire.
