I'd love to live in San Francisco but forgot you have a different perspective on affordable. I don't think I'd need a property bigger than 900 sq ft and wouldn't want to spend more than $450k. The public transit system seems decent, may just have to expand my search to the broader bay area.
Hi Thomas, Unfortunately SF is quite expensive! I wish it were more affordable. A 500-600 square foot studio typically runs around 500-700K in SF. So i think it depends on what you're looking for.....
@@livinginsanfranciscocathank you for the response. I guess that's the result of being popular without the supply. 🤷♂️ hence why I'd cast a wider net. I don't need anything particularly big or fancy. Trying to lead a simple and modest life. Walkability and public transit will be key. We'll have to see what the future holds. Maybe the stars will align, where my finances improve enough and maybe SF will become a more affordable place.
That's true we have a net migration around -7% right now. Not terrible, but there is more people leaving than coming, however that does seem to be changing.

Born and raised there Loved it then. (many years ago)
Thanks for this. NOTE: The video in the Ocean Avenue section shows City College of San Francisco (CCSF) not SF State.
Thank you for the correction! You're right, my editor made a mistake in the footage.
@@livinginsanfranciscoca No worries. I enjoy the content and learned things about a city I’ve lived in for nearly 25 years :)

Lake Merced is actually natural
Good to know. Thank you for telling me and watching my video. Are you from the area?
Lakeview as its known by the natives was a historically black and asian neighbodhood.
Well at least San Francisco has a poop app so if you see poop on the sidewalk you can report it
SF has an ap for everything:)
Why move to San Francisco when everybody and their Grandma's moving out including McDonald's and so on
SF has lost only 7.1% of it's poulation since COVID. I don't think "everyone" is moving out, but the news would certainly make you think it is.
Whats sad, i see more people leaving san francisco then moving in.
