the Willy Wonka music started playing and i was immediately reminded of that part in that Atlantis sea world ride where they start playing the beetlejuice music for absolutely no reason
Went on this ride when I was ten years old in 1973 and I don't think its changed at all. I remember the revolving drum that you go through, happy memories and good to know its still there.🙌
Omg my two friends where riding in the front of the cart and I was at the back. It was terrifying to have the darkness behind you! But it is quite a good ride, trippy but good.
My childhood in a nutshell all those years of going on this ride loved it watching this has brought back some amazing memories not only of the ride but the holiday itself 😊😊
+Theme Park Worldwide TBH I don't care why they play it As long as they keep playing it in there I'am happy. The ride simpley would lose its charm without it.
anyone know what that is in the carriage thingie at 00:40 i feel this ride goes too quickly. you barely get to see the Red Queen at 1:09 what is that? i dont remember that in any of the books 2:20
I was taken on this ride when I was 3, it scared me silly and since then I’ve been obsessed with Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass (the book, with the Tenniel illustrations) and horror. I think I’ve been imprinted...
Why is it playing "I have a golden ticket" ? Alice your crazy that caterpillar is back in the crack again ! Ps I love this ride.... It used to play all the songs from the film Alice in wonderland not Charlie and the Choco factory mind.......
The original Disneyland version of the ride opened in 1958 and the BPB version 1961. They were both built by the same manufacturer. Given that the rides were built within just a few years of each other and Disneyland had yet to garner it's world-wide reputation I do not think you can really call this a bad Disney rip-off. It is more like a manufacturer selling the same ride to two different parks and one of them had more available talent (Hollywood set designers) and money to create the better version.
Playing "I've got a golden ticket" from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? Did they get permission to use the Disney "Alice In Wonderland" at the end of the ride?
I was going there in 2004 but as soon a we arrived a plane crashes straight into Alice in wonderland so the police said you can't come in and that was it never ever been
My bad sorry just read all posts ! Yea Alive was talking through all the rude as a story in late 70-80s with the mad alive music ! Something about Disney and copyright I can recall happening and a court case happening and Disney winning to remove there soundtrack or pay millions
See, the proper music would be the march of the cards from Alice in wonderland, or some wacky strange and funny sounds, "I've got a golden ticket" is neither of these.... And even though it sounds right if you haven't seen the film....(and let's face it, who hasn't?) it is unbearably noticeable
+Ranky64 Entertainment lmfao NOOo of course not dummy. I'm pretty sure it's a direct copy of... ...Haunted Mansion! lol 😝 Can't u see the spookiness? Plus, Peter Pan is just an easter egg, and lowkey they don't prefer to call him that, so I'd stick with Pooter Pete with this park, the big mouse might hear them! (totally not sarcasm guyz)
Wow, what a bizarrely bad copy of the Disney attraction. They didn't even try to animate anything, just a bunch of static scenes. Well, I suppose it's not hard to start with something so great and make it mediocre.
Before we say this is ripping off Disney, let's keep in mind that Disney didn't create the story. They simply have their own version. This ride sticks more to the character designs from the book and by far has more scenes and elements shoved in than the Disney ride. And for that reason it's a jumbled mess that doesn't tell a fluid story like the Disney version, which is FAR easier to understand. Also, the music in this (Willy Wonka)..Ear bleedingly repetitive! It helps in no way tell any story, and the absence of any dialogue whatsoever doesn't help either and is the most needed element in this situation... You *need* to have the characters talk in order for people to understand what's going on! All in all this version is trying to cram too much in too little time and it just flops in the end.. But c'mon.. We all know Disney's is remarkable ;)
How dare you criticise the music. This ride right here is my childhood and you are dead wrong. The music was the best thing about it. My first unknowing psychedelic trip probably this Blackpool ride xD. 20 odd years ago I used to go on this
Really I didn’t know Disney helped other none Disney theme parks and allowed them to have knock off attractions like Disney I know that Nara dreamland was a big Disney theme park knock off.
I hope they never get rid of this, the smell is simply amazing inside. I believe it's the fluorescent paint that makes that smell.
I have always wondered what that smell was! I’ve always loved it ha ha 😀
The smell feels like Disneyland smell
the Willy Wonka music started playing and i was immediately reminded of that part in that Atlantis sea world ride where they start playing the beetlejuice music for absolutely no reason
Wait a second.... *Heres familiar song* "Ive got a golden ticket......." Hmm curiouser and curiouser

I was born in 1973 and went on the ride in the late 1970s great time

this is the trippiest freaky think i have ever been on!
A great classic this was the first ride I went on at pleasure beach I loved the music especially the one outside. great ride😃
Why does it play Charlie and the Chocolate factory songs?
***** it's an answer we don't know!
I caught that too. lol
+Theme Park Worldwide TBH I don't care why they play it As long as they keep playing it in there I'am happy.
The ride simpley would lose its charm without it.
Was just gonna ask that too? :)
@@dougbriglmen716 I agree with you
anyone know what that is in the carriage thingie at 00:40

Of course, this ride was built in '61, and charlie realeased in '71, so what did the play inside from 61 to 71?
Thanks. I always wondered. As someone who has only ever ridden it with this music, I can't imagine anything else.
I went on this in the mid 80s !!!! can't believe its still on
‘I’ve got the golden ticket’ ‘iv got the golden tickettttt’ is now stuck in my head
Same here maddie
Good ride though impressed 😊😊😊😊😊.
am i the onluy one who realised the music for the ride is willy wonka tolden ticket song
they still kept it anyways
I was going to say the same
Out of all the times I've been here, I've never been on this ride. I don't know why. Looks amazing though.
This is weirdly good. It’s so trippy.
the music is so nostalgic
Uh I think they got the theme songs mixed up
i like Blackpool but i'm in truth petrified of those crazy rides!
I like how this is a POV of a ride, and people are bitching about the music
I remember taking my cousin Kellie on this when she was little and she screamed in fear all the way round - especially at Humpty Dumpty lol
When I went on it when I was 5 I loved the thing to bits
Thanks for hearting!
Me too!!!
There's an image of Disney's Alice here. Did some staffer buy it from an auction or something to use here?
I just went on that yesterday and it's my favourite ride and I like the carousel thingey near it to
Why is it playing "I have a golden ticket" ? Alice your crazy that caterpillar is back in the crack again ! Ps I love this ride.... It used to play all the songs from the film Alice in wonderland not Charlie and the Choco factory mind.......
hmm.. maybe you're thinking of the Disney version?, because this ride has been playing Golden Ticket for years!!
The thing is, Disneyland had it's world-wide reputation and was quite succesful. And the layout of the rides are very different.
I love this !
When I was about 6 the ride broke down and I had to walk through it all 😅 well scary
A round Cabbij. Ah same! I was scared to go on it in the first place and then it broke down I cried the entire time as we walked.
A round Cabbij follow the green arrows lmao
i can feel the ride even know thet im nat even ther
Its been like that for years.
Playing "I've got a golden ticket" from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? Did they get permission to use the Disney "Alice In Wonderland" at the end of the ride?
i miss the old theme that used to play outside
But this was in Bournemouth
I was going there in 2004 but as soon a we arrived a plane crashes straight into Alice in wonderland so the police said you can't come in and that was it never ever been
Is this still here ??
It is indeed
+Theme Park Worldwide yay
I Noticed It Was Playing Willy Wonka Music
only came here for the songs
I’m going to pleasure beach in Easter holidays and into big rides- is this worth my time?😂
It sure is!
Why use willy wonka and the chocolate factory
I went here today it was fun but scary some rides😀😀
+Ruby Rae Speak I hope you had fun!
Omg I been on this ride it was fun but it kept tilting lol x
My bad sorry just read all posts ! Yea
Alive was talking through all the rude as a story in late 70-80s with the mad alive music ! Something about Disney and copyright I can recall happening and a court case happening and Disney winning to remove there soundtrack or pay millions
It smells like sherbet candies 👍 went in it 5 times
or it's based on the original british film? ;)
See, the proper music would be the march of the cards from Alice in wonderland, or some wacky strange and funny sounds, "I've got a golden ticket" is neither of these.... And even though it sounds right if you haven't seen the film....(and let's face it, who hasn't?) it is unbearably noticeable
Why are they playing a Charlie and the chocolate factory song in an Alice in wonderland themed ride
Somehow the music is the Weirdest Part
This ride scares me tho!
Because Alton Towers couldn't afford it!
Lovin dat Willy Wonka music
Scary especially at 1:03

This was made over 40 years agora
It's defo not like 40 years old or something

Wow, what a bizarrely bad copy of the Disney attraction. They didn't even try to animate anything, just a bunch of static scenes. Well, I suppose it's not hard to start with something so great and make it mediocre.
It’s not bad

Great comment, thanks for sharing!
Then again this was made over 40 years ago
Correct, and Disney's refurb of the ride wasn't until the early 80's. So technically Disney could have stolen from Blackpool ;) Which I have to doubt.
Sandy Claws it was written in Warrington High School. Only 40 mins from Blackpool.
How dare you criticise the music. This ride right here is my childhood and you are dead wrong. The music was the best thing about it. My first unknowing psychedelic trip probably this Blackpool ride xD. 20 odd years ago I used to go on this
Ooooohhhh, super scary lol :P jk it's a god ride tho hahaha
*good
typical Blackpool getting the music wrong
lol
This is where Disneyland imagineers go to die.
anybody realised that Charlie and the chocolate factory is playing in the backround
This is certainly a knock off I know that disneylands ride is much better then this!
The ride was actually approved by Walt Disney!
Really I didn’t know Disney helped other none Disney theme parks and allowed them to have knock off attractions like Disney I know that Nara dreamland was a big Disney theme park knock off.
This is a ripoff of Disney and it stole I got a golden ticket from Willy wonka and the chocolate factory
I believe this actually had the music first!
Lol this looks boring
Eh it’s not
