Another note to this theory is that Geto says this in chapter 102 - “Not bad for a jujutsu sorcerer of this era.” Showing that he’s lived for multiple eras.😎
Very thorough theory and it all checks out so far. It's crazy how well Akutami utilised the pilot serialization in Jump Giga, and how he has always been this carefully planning for a long serialization. He and Jump must have been always been extremely determined and confident in Jujutsu's success, but I guess don't even bother with a long running manga if you aren't.
Thanks for the comment, Vader! Yea, its incredible how dense the storytelling is in the story. All these references early in the series that later make you say, "You're kidding!!". It'll be interesting to see how many things we'll be looking back on in future chapters as well!
The new chapter just came out and you COMPLETELY NAILED IT! Congrats man, you earner yourself a sub for life. I happened to stumble upon your video today, didn't expect your theory to get confirmed literally 9 hours later. I'm speechless
Dude, you are definitely onto something! What a convincing argument! I feel like we'll be getting an answer in the climax of the Shibuya arc! AMAZING VIDEO!
Haha, much thanks, dude. Always appreciate your comments and positive juju :) It's definitely still a theory but I'm pretty confident considering the dots I've connected. Only time will tell!!
This is a fascinating theory! Damnit, you *have* nearly convinced me that Kamo might indeed be our brain-hopper. I definitively think he'll come to have more importance later; as you proved, there are just too many elements for him -- or his heritage -- not to come back. My own money rested on Tengen or something related to Tengen, for a few reasons: - I agree with you that "Geto" is an ancient, knowledgeable entity with no love for curses. I find, thought, that he's apparently very knowledgeable about Gojo in a way that can't come only for hearsays (but.... maybe from some kind of merging with Geto? :D I WANT TO BELIEVE GETO MIGHT BE IN HERE SOMEWHERE) - Tengen's the only entity we've heard about that may have to change bodies (he's immortal, but not ageless). - We never really know what happened after the death of his designated Star Plasma. Cool Blond Lady theorizes he "probably had got a spare" or something, but that in any case there's no problem so it must have been solved, right? There must be a reason why we never get any clear explanation about it apart from hypothesis from someone who's not in the know. - Something special is supposed to happen if Tengen fails to merge; he might even become "humanity's enemy" or a similar formulation. For me, this hypothesis wouldn't have been raised if it wasn't to come into play. - Re: his barreers staying in place: were he a traitor, given his hate for curse, I'd see him playing shamans against curses to weaken both parties until he makes his move (possibly by using Sukuna against everyone?). If I'm not wrong, the curses call Brain Boy by Geto's name, so I don't think they're aware of his true identity.
Hey, Sen! Awesome insight, as always! - I definitely agree with you that we haven't heard the last of Geto. - The idea that it might be Tengen or at least related to Tengen somehow is certainly something to consider. The circumstances in which the "Star Plasma" arc ended were very suspicious. Tsukumo writing it off as "Oh, they took care of it" caught my attention as well. - The relationship that this "Geto" has with the special grade curses is also very curious. They were there for the reveal as well so we have to assume that they know about him not actually being Geto, and moreover, that they're somehow okay with that fact. Thanks again for the comment!
There is too many potential story paths and I love it. Seeing this manga unfold is a delight; I'm really sad I caught up "so early", but also really glad that we can all brainstorm about Jujutsu's future, haha. Really hyped to be the 19th!
I theorize that the "Brain" in Geto is Tengen. The reason why Tengen would be bad is because of the "evolution" that happens if Tengen doesn't get a Star Plasma vessel. I think the "evolution" that happens is the corruption of ideology Tengen has which is something like: The next step in humanity is a world of hybrid human curses.
in chapter 134 this theory was correct to an outstanding degree yes the same entity possessed noritoshi kano but looks like this being is much older than we thought and nori toshi kano was just one of the host bodies
chapter 134 spoilers (but not really?) . . . . . . oh my god????? this theory is amazing. wow. as much as your theory in and of itself is super well thought out, it's pretty much on point despite the big reveal happening a year later.
Stopping by to rewatch your theory after the latest chapter and give you praise for being spot on about your theory👏🏾👏🏾. I definitely have to subscribe for such a well thought-out and accurate theory. Keep it up🌹
If this theory is true, I wonder what kind of new world Kamo actually wants? Like if he views himself above both humans and spirits, is he just using special grade curses as a buffer against the shamans while he enacts some greater scheme?
Hey, Giblo! Yes, if this theory proves to be true, it definitely begs that question. Honestly, characters in fiction who have this "I'm gonna make a new world!" mentality usually at least want power. Especially, they want to create a world where they feel confident that they can be a supreme being in said world. If he decides to stay in Gojo's body, he could certainly utilize the cursed technique to increase his power! Only time will tell! I could be totally off as well haha. Thanks as always for your awesome comments!
@@SteadyStudios well curse geto says noritoshi kamo is one of his names possible meaning that he was created before the birth of noritoshi kamo and he was just one of the host bodies. so who really is this cursed spirit
Part 40 next week I think so nearly 10 months! It seems crazy when you read it week to week but at the end of the day, thats only 4~5 volumes. It's great every week though!! Hope you,re well, SI!
well actually you hit all the notes. in addition : sakuna is aware of this and he will not allow this to happen because it will remove him on the top of the food chain. all his efforts being on the top will be useless.. its already bored that is why they bind him and yet they will eliminate the reason curses being alive.. Sakuna doesnt allow the balance to ruin.
Yup! Nanako and Mimiko. The idea that they're the white haired monk is really just a fun idea. I doubt it's true though. Thanks for the comment! Hope to see you in more videos!
i just finished reading all the JJK manga today (except prequels) and went straight to YT for some questions that kept bothering me LOL. Your theories are awesome!!! awesome work on the translation and on these theory videos. I hope you continue to do them! You really make an effort to read between the lines (because maybe that's really how translators work LOL) and articulate them soooo well. i also watched your video on "sukuna's plan" where you mentioned the 10 sacred treasures and how it relates to fushiguro's technique. Is the 10 sacred treasure a known folklore and japanese myth? . . . . . . . . . question :) the white haired monk at 14:03 is that the same monk who approached Sukuna after he swallowed 10(?) fingers that Jogo gave him in the Shibuya Arc? Maybe Kamo Sr. has long been a worshipper of Sukuna and has been trying for so long to resurrect him. Perhaps there has always been bad relationship between the clans because of their different views about morality and how order can be established. Maybe this is why Gojo is trying to make a "new generation/breed" of sorcerers 🤯. I'm really happy i came across your channel. Hope you get more subs
MultiHappyBacon! Amazing name btw! Although, I'm very hungry now...haha Glad you're caught up! Welcome to the chaotic world of current day JJK! LOL Really glad to hear that you're enjoying my content as well! The white haired monk is the same one we saw early in the series at the beach, giving instructions to the ponytail sword guy, and recently approaching Sukuna. They are a super mysterious character and we don't know anything beyond the name "Uraume" and that they have some sort of relationship with Sukuna. A servant of sorts it seems...Hope that answered your question! Looking forward to talking more JJK with you!
@@MultiHappybacon A video on Toji would be cool. I can't make any promises but if there's and intrigue or mystery that arises in regards to him, I'll definitely consider it! Thanks for your continued support!
Oooh what a great theory! Btw if someone can be born from both cursed spirits and humans, do you think that might be the case about Itadori’s lineage? Or maybe I’m just grasping straws here haha 😅
Aside from your amazing theory. I believe that Geto made a binding vow with a Special Grade spirit he had already exorcized. Once he died however he did, it took over. That’s my take. BUT your theory is amazing, and I’m on board!
Thanks so much, Avery! Glad to hear that you're enjoying the series as well as my videos! Thank you for being a subscriber! Hope you're well and staying safe!
I always kinda thought after I heard this theory, that he was a human, who switched bodies or was tricked into switching bodies with a cursed spirit and therefore cant switch back to human anymore. That's why he is a cursed spirit yet also looks down on cursed spirits.
AJ, thanks for watching. Keep in mind this is just a theory. There's evidence that Yuki might be involved somehow as well. Although that's just a theory too. Just fun ideas to play around with!
I think Noritoshi Kamo must be a cursed spirit. The brain has a mouth on it and considering Choso and his brothers had the blood manipulation abilities, it would make sense that he would also be the father, and for them to be hybrids that means their father had to be a cursed spirit. We know humans can become cursed spirits from Sekuna. It would also be a good explanation of why he's lived so long.
I think geto was taken over by papa goro curse spirit that he used to hide his artifacts. Remember in the beginning of chapter 76 the curse spirit was talking to him. I think that when geto died that curse spirit possessed his body
But I also like steady studios theory I think that the guy under the umbrella. Is who created mahito and a lot of mahito motivations made come from him. He might be the big bad of jujitsu kaisen also what kind of power up do you guys think yuuji will receive from being the host of double face specter 🤔🤔
Now they have to, but they still have a lot of time until volume 9, which is the point I feel like it becomes a must read, and also probably the best time to read, fresh off the flashback arc. Of course it's already too late for the serialization. But this just makes me wonder how and at what point would it be adapted into the anime.
Before clicking on the video, I had to check twice if maybe I missed a new chapter... XD But I really like the theory! It does sound pretty plausible, especially considering that (as far as I saw it-) Akutami-sensei likes to include and build up every character as far as they can! It would be a really awesome plot twist too! Also because Kamo (junior?) would probably become more relevant as well, which I'd love to see~ I would also probably scream if we got to see the real Geto again, I like him a lot and was really sad when we found out that he was pretty much a fake Geto.... T-T
Hey, Punda Bear! Thanks for commenting again! I'm holding out for Geto to be back as well! Although it created a great dramatic effect for the reveal, it seems a bit of a waste considering how popular the character is.
