- After enjoying their leather care product, I decided to give Koch-Chemie Plast Star tire shine a try. I'm very picky about the products I put on my tires so stay tuned to see if I like this pricey product.

Looking forward to the update. I also like a nice gloss on the tires
Thanks brother! Yeah this one has been good
The solvent smell is super strong and it doesn’t spread as easily as some. I don’t love it for tires. It does give a deep satin finish but not sure it lasts any longer than anything else. If you want gloss I’d recommend Adams Graphene Tire Dressing or CarPro DarkSide.
Doing another test as speak!
I’ve tried over a dozen tires dressings and honestly by FAR Adam’s Graphene Tire Shine (i love high gloss Dressing) is the best. I’m not an Adam’s fanboy either. It looks great and lasts for weeks/over a month. I live in NorCal for context. I want to try Black Out.
Thanks Ryan! I need to tire that. How is the longevity?
I have a dozen of KCx products and have yet to find one that disappoints me. As for tire dressings, my favorite so far is Stjärnagloss Gummi. It’s more of a gel but goes on really easy and lasts.
Same here! Trying out their green star here soon!
Make your life a lot easier, Pull out that cap on the bottle and put a spray trigger on the bottle and just spray your applicator block. SO much easier and faster
Yeah
Koch Pss takes a few days for full effect with how black it turns the tire. Pss goes into the rubber and does not become a hard dry surface on the outside of the rubber, but it treats the rubber and does not become like some black color on the outside of the rubber. I think you have put on too much and your tire is saturated. I haven't tried another product that makes the rubber on an older tire feel like it came straight from the factory and it's really hydrophobic too.
I like how it looks
@@gonin60detailing82 I also like Pss on all plastic and rubber.
I have yet to try anything from Koche chemie. I am like the opposite I dont like shine. I like a satin matte look. I also dont like tire dressings that last forever. Then they are a PITA to actually fully remove when you clean your tires and put new on. I like VRP because its easy to clean off when I wanna redo it. Lately I have been using the PERL 1:1 and DIYDetail tire lotion and its pretty nice
Yeah I get it. Most done like shine. I hate VRP. It’s no better than water on your tire but a lot seem to like it. I still need to give diy details products a try!
@@gonin60detailing82 I have most of their products and I have yet to find one that was a let down. Most of them turned into my favorite product
I still have a bunch of products I can send you to try out if you want
@@05xrunner I need to give them a try per your advice. I watch all of their Instagram stories on detailing. Very good
Advice and seem like a great company.
@@gonin60detailing82 the rinseless and ceramic gloss and my 2 favorite if i was just going to pick 2
@@05xrunner awesome! Thanks for the heads up!
🔥😁
Thank you!!
Since you sold the RSX a while ago, how did this end up doing? Did you have it on long enough before selling the car where you were able to get a feel for how you liked it? I personally prefer a more satin look to the tire, and don't mind having to reapply tire dressing, even every wash if needed - it's just part of my normal wash/detail. Lately I've been using the Adam's Graphene Tire Dressing on the Camaro and my wife's Saturn Sky (since they both have the Adam's Advanced Graphene Coating and I was keeping it in the family), and I've been really happy with the results. It gives a nice, deep satin look that I really like. I've been using VRP on the Ridgeline for a while now, as I tend to use the same dressing on the truck's black cladding so it makes it easy to do everything all at once.
Hey there! It was on there a month or so after applying before I sold it. Need to do a long term test. I like Adam’s Graphene was well!
Hey Austin do you have any tips on cleaning up a pitted chrome wheel?
