As far as I can tell I have the settings set correctly but I get an error on the HMI that the PLC returned with error code (01H). I don't know what that means. Also should I be using crossover cable to connect the HMI and M221?
Hi Mistry! standard cable should work. For more information about the error code you can check the next FAQ: www.se.com/ww/en/faqs/FA386843/ Try to remove the cable to see if you get the same message, if yes then the cable is the problem. Please check the ip address and subnet of the device using PING from cmd probably that is the problem.

@@LeTomasAHUMADA thank you for the reply. I'm able to ping both devices. I get yellow triangles on any elements I have on the screen, like buttons etc
