Thank you Kestava! Can you tell me what is Sa used for in design? I'm studying for my CA Seismic exam and now I know how to find Sa but I can't find where it ever gets used later on, so far everything seems to be based on Cs. Many thanks :)
Hello. I was wondering if you could do an example of masonry walls. I wanted to know how to design a unreinforced and/or reinforced masonry wall based on design moment and shear due to in/out of plane forces. I am taking a masonry class, and it is always helpful to watch your videos. Ps. We really appreciate the videos that you post!!
thanks for such a nice video..but i steel did not understand how we convert time-acceleration (earthquake data) to accelration-period (design spectrum)? Becouse earth data comes with time and time converted to period...in this particular transition what formula we use? have any video to explain pls or planig to make such a video? thanks
for slope stability analysis, for a non engineer like myself, what easier way to determine horizontal seismic coefficient (Kh) and vertical seismic coefficient (Kv)? thank you
Hello, I have a question, I'm an italian student and I was searching how to draw the response spectrum for near source. I don't undestand if this spectrum is for both, near and far, or only for far field. Thank you
This is a great video and explanation, exactly what I was looking for. Thank You!
one of your best videos, congrats
Thanks! 😃
Great informative video
Great breakdown and explanation!
Thanks mate!
cheers!
Great video man, thank you!
no problem Simo. I need to do an updated one soon!

is ther long period transition period Tl for other countries?

Yes
Lateral force calculation of multistorey building having torsional irregularity by response spectrum method??

How is that nap of periods in chapter 22 made?
your going to find out very soon!

I am unfamiliar with near and far field? is this the same thing as short and 1 second acceleration?
Do you have a video doing the spectrum response in Excel? It would be very useless. I have a problem finding the Sds parameter, if I don't have it:(
i need to def set one up in excel, I dont have on at the moment
if T0 unit is seconds then why is it equal to 0.2Sd1/SDS? (unitless)
I don’t understand the significance of the different “T” intervals? What do these actually represent in the real world?
