I get the impression they want to have a big, overly beefy flagship product. They should definitely just enhance Classic &/or make a single product & then have a higher tier for those who may need it. It's funny to see Ed X go away so soon, they were just pushing that like crazy about 2-3 years ago as the greatest thing ever. I tried it & hated it.
Wix Studio, it’s not even close to me. It’s annoying that they made a new editor instead of just improving Editor X but I started on the Wix Editor with no experience, moved to Editor X and now Studio, I prefer Editor X though.
Its seems very similar to us Coreldraw users in PC, Corel improves more and more new tools to launch new Software versions but they still fail in fixing old bugs in export and import, for example. I gess it´s because Wix want to look really responsive and not needing a special editor for mobile screens perhaps.
I don't think you even have an option anymore between the old and new (wix studio) editor when building a new site - missing the ease of use of the original.

I tried wix years ago when it first came out. TBH, I think it's embarrassing that the classic studio isn't responsive at this point. Sounds like the difference is more about who they're marketing too.
Good video! My personal website (in wix classic editor) is only any good because of your tutorials. I confess that I was a bit confused about what wix studio actually was until you explained it's a mashup of Editor X and Classic Wix. They didn't make it clear at all in their materials. I have the site in classic and the question would be: is there a way to easily transfer the current website to wix studio and then just fix whatever looks wonky? Or would it be a create from scratch thing? Also, suggestion for future video! Wix Bookings does my head in. I am trying to set up a simple page where someone can choose a time for a 1:1 meeting (virtual), pay for it and then it will happen. That's it. But there are so many snags on the way! I wanted an experience similar to what Calendly offers for something like this. If you could show us a bit more of an advanced look into Bookings, that'd be awesome!
The Wix Studio team has said that transferring Wix Classic to Wix Studio is not a feature they plan to release in 2024. However, this may change. I believe they want to put more effort into making Wix Studio more amazing but I have no doubt in the future for this feature to be released. And I will add a booking series to my list of videos to make! But I do want to finish the ecommerce series before starting another large(ish) series. Thank you for suggestion!
They have already lowered the prices for the premium plan and adjusted CMS limitations. If you have seen these updates, do you think the premium plans are still too expensive and do you think CMS limitations have not been adjusted enough? To me, I think the changes are reasonable compared to what they were.
Is the responsiveness of both platforms relatively the same? Or do you ever have issues on different devices with Wix Classic sites even when designing within the grid lines?
Thanks for the helpful video! I was new to WIX and started right away on Studio. Built a website for a cultural organization on Studio - and then got a huge discount for Classic. Now I have to re-build the whole site on Classic… However, I am still signed up to Studio. And I can build a site with the Classic editor inside WIX Studio. But are there any downsides to that? Will it cost more to my client if I build a Classic site in Studio? Will the handover be done through the Studio or the Classic interface? I am just very confused 😅
Just created a website with this platform. Major issues with classic is 1. The fitting the grit lines issue. 2. classic interface is so much sluggish than studio it drives me nuts and ruins the workflow experience. 3. youll need to create a whole new page for the mobile version without the AI tools in studio. = major time lost.

Unfortunate not. The Wix Studio team has mentioned that they do not plan to release that feature in 2024. So if you really do not want to start from scratch, then you may need to wait a while.
Are you using Wix Studio or regular Wix? Responsive AI is only in Wix Studio and you shouldn't need to be in the beta program for it (but I could be wrong).

The problem with Wix Studio is that it's with limitations and it's expensive compared to editorx plans. CMS limitations also a concern

As far as I've seen some websites and templates can't make the transition. So, from my experience, yes, you'll have to rebuild it

The Wix studio is honestly very frustrating for me to work in. Everything looks and feels unnecessarily complicated. I prefer the Wix Classic.
I tried Ed X when it came out & t was insanely complex for no good reason. I dumped it soon after.
Well you might want to try Wix Studio! It is the new Editor X and it’s much more intuitive.
Why not just improve the classic WIX editor. Ugh. I'm a web designer and I dont really want to learn wix all over again.
