If they only made story tellers like the Legend Mr.Harvey in todays world…!!Anyone who grew up hearing Mr. Harvey knows he had your full Attention , miss those days!!!!
Sitting on the porch late evening time drinking ice tea watching the lightin bugs dance beautifully and looking up to the sky at all the stars. Thank you Mr.Paul Harvey
That was the case with an addle-brained boy named Thomas. His mother had faith in him, and he went on to invent some stuff. Somebody named Napoleon Hill wrote about him as though he was one of the great thinkers of the modern age.
“Creativity is intelligence having fun.” - Albert Einstein. I’ve quoted this like a broken record to my own kids along with the hundreds of kids I’ve taught over the years. I believe Einstein also said that when it comes to IQ and creativity, that creativity always wins. I’m not able to substantiate that though, off the top of my head. I’d heard this ‘The Rest Of…’ before but it’s been many years. Thank you so much for uploading!!!
A fine case of someone whose teachers failed him. I have known two in much the same boat: extremely smart, unchallenged by curriculum and bored out of their skulls, classes were cut which led to getting ged's [just to get on with life]. One jumped straight into stock trading, the other I lost track of.
Extremely smart people are often considered less than average because their thinking is so far ahead of most people that it makes no sense to them. So remember that the next time you have come to the conclusion that of the two, you are the brighter one. You may be correct, then again, you may be a little short on being right.
We can’t all be chiefs. Somewhere along the lines there have to be people who will be the followers who will get the job done. We love to beat into our kids that college is the only way to go. And yet the brief story we just heard says that isn’t true. “Al” was obviously too smart for high school. Rather than him not being smart enough for high school, as well as his own mother, he was too smart and was bored out of his mind . Kids not mentally stimulated act out of boredom. We are warned over and over in dogs with a high level of energy and intelligence to keep them mentally stimulated or they will become destructive. Here’s a human example of that very problem!
I have always loved Paul Harvey ever since I was a kid His broadcasts about people who have risen above circumstances that would have forced others to quit but instead inspired them to rise to the occasion like Albert Einstein for example. He starts out describing the person ,but does not give the name, creating suspense until the very end by saying"And now you know the rest of the story". He was a great man who enhanced radio broadcasting and journalism to a very great profession The so called journalists of today could stand some lessons in unbiased reporting instead of being politically correct and prostitutionizing themselves disgraciing a fine profession. Let me know what you think. I would like to hear from you even from other parts of the world.🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽
There are other sources, Britannica, for instance. The Wikipedia article cites something like 289 sources that cover the life of Einstein. Einstein excelled at advanced math at an early age, like age 14. Many of his academic difficulties arose from his lack of interest in subjects that we would call "general education." For the record, I'm a big Paul Harvey fan but I think he sort of went off the rails on this one, or at least he didn't tell the whole story.
In today's news, Trump shows confidence he can win in 2024. Speaking of confidence, Rightgard gives you 12 hour protection from underarm odor. Now you know the rest of the story.
This is absolute non-sense. Einstein was a genius from birth, he taught himself algebra and calculus at age 12. By age 14 he had mastered calculus and left his tutor far behind. Why this non-sense persists is beyond reason.
I was lucky enough to hear him as he did these snippets. Really enjoyed these short but profound stories. Now god enjoys his stories.
Paul's stories were always great to hear - full of compassion and encouragement. I miss these broadcasts. Old enough to remember!
Boy, do I miss Mr. Paul Harvey! He was an awesome commentator!

Always loved Paul Harvey stories I miss the old days of radio
Yes it brings me back to my mother listening to Paul Harvey on the radio
Absolutely...I have his books but still love hearing his soothing broadcast voice sermons like I did as a a child growing up.
I discovered Paul Harvey as a kids of around 8 or 9. I was prowling in our attic and found an old cassette tape of him. I’ve loved him ever since.
Amen, brother.
God bless the kindhearted who give us underachievers a second chance.
Thanks for sharing the great comments.
Used to listen to Paul Harvey at lunchtime on the radio in a pickup when I mowed lawns in central Oregon. His words were as inspiring then as now
Instantly takes me back to being a child hearing this play on knza on my grandfather's radio
Sitting on the porch late evening time drinking ice tea watching the lightin bugs dance beautifully and looking up to the sky at all the stars.
Thank you
Mr.Paul Harvey
That was a very good one reminds us all about the education system a failure at school and a genius out of school !...

As a young lad riding home from a weekend at my grand parents we listened on a AM radio for the rest of the story

I miss listening to Paul he was great.
Paul Harvey was a favorite of mine when I was a kid and well into my adulthood. A gifted story teller.
Listened to Paul Harvey every day when i was a kid. And on my lunch break when i got older. What a voice
As soon as he said "Al", I knew who it was. Not succeeding in school does not mean your stupid.
Paul Harvey is an American treasure and icon
In other words dont judge a book by its cover !

As well I always would hear him and listen to his sweet wisdom

Love Paul Harvey. Keep them coming.
Amazing!!!!
And once again…now I know…the rest of the story.
#RIP Mr Harvey

I agree. You'll love this one by the end after a BIG Paul Harvey reveal, check it out. ua-cam.com/video/BpbVP31lNGA/v-deo.html
Much of this, but not all, is at variance with the biography of Einstein presented by Wikipedia.
Wikipedia is written by anyone who wishes to write an entry. Paul Harvey knew how to research, long before the internet.

So miss his logic and voice.

Who?
Albert Einstein
I find his stories so fartwarming.
Well, that seems to be a smelly proposition....LOL

But it's a great story!! I think that in fact he did not succeed in elementary school....the teachers were too cold.
I like the story especially if a young person just happens to come across Paul Harvey and hears the story about self confidence.
