WINTER FEATURE/INTEREST GARDEN TOUR. ACORN HILL, NC. Winter in the garden has its own unique qualities. Light is low, creating stark dramatic scenes and backlit vignettes, droplets suspended on bare skeletal twigs, twinkling with a thousand tiny rainbows. There can be winter interests such as mist, with spectral trees appearing and vanishing, or blankets of snow that hide every detail.
On this video, the Acorn Hill garden is blanketed in snow. This special feature happens more and more often in central North Carolina of late, and so today, I shot this impromptu winter garden tour to show you the bare bones of Acorn Hill.

A goodly, concise, clear and peaceful of info video. Thanks for sharing what your garden looks like this time of year.
Always pleasant to the eyes, that fresh snow..
Thank you for watching 😄
I am glad to see you're "resting" from the rigors of gardening at this time of the year. But what possibilities you can now see for the coming year! This is exciting 🙂
Thanks Ninang Vid. Miss you!
The garden is looking un-bleak. Those of us in the know about appreciating a winter garden know, that this is a good opportunity to take stock as to what can be had this coming growing season.
Thanks mate!
The garden scenery is different during this time ofyear
Thanks. This is the second winter since the addition and serious development of the garden. We’re happy as it matures so far 😀
Thanks Grace. I couldn’t agree with you more. I am also excited to see areas for potential additions.
@@ACORNHILL 🥶😰👍👍
I can see the "bones" of your garden. Theres lots of further potentials to this space mate.
Thanks. It still could use vertical structures. So there’s more building for me to do.
The silent phase of the garden. Makes you think of more ideas doesn't it?
👍👍
Oh always! 😁
