Yeah, I don’t need another game named after a European town. I need this. Cysmic is the definition of an indie game. It’s what crowd funding was created for! And it’s amazing!
Hahaha! Thanks for that comment! I feel the same way. There are just so many Euros one person can stand in their collection. Cysmic is here to make memories at the table and have fun with your friends. It's the kind of cinematic game that puts you right into the action from turn one!
Thanks Chris! I genuinely appreciate you covering the game. It's no doubt, not for everyone when it comes to the high player interaction... but how many more Euros do we all need in our collection? :) You're still one of the best UA-camrs out there for honest perspectives and I appreciate you!
@@GrantHungerford The board and the minis have been reduced by 15% overall for manufacturing and to make sure the game would fit on standard tables. This was a request from the last campaign. Thanks for asking! I hope to see you at launch tomorrow!
Been following this one since I met Jason at PAX a couple of years ago. Thanks for the in depth on it. One of the things I like is that it's accessible. He has put everything you can possibly do on the cards with explanations so it makes it easier to not have to revert to the rules as much.
Thanks for covering it here. Love this game! Played the prototype at a gamecon before it was slightly reduced in size. Backed 2 Designer copies (1 for me, 1 for a family gift). So excited it funded!!
The more games we have, the more unique they have to be. This definitely is that. Will it see the most amount of play out of all the games I own. I highly doubt it, but it should see play and that is enough.
Thank you! "Unique" is a word that gets thrown around a lot in the board gaming marketing world. However, Cysmic is nothing like anything on the market. Thanks for recognizing that!
I was sold on it and am backing now. Like you said though, lower player counts lower interaction, while higher player counts increase play time. Think sweat spot will be 3 player.
I am quite happy with the solo mode so far and I hope you will be too! There's still lots of tweaks to do but I should have a playable version up on TTS soon.
Components, and massive amount of components...i'm letting Cysmic go...Also indeed alot of factions/asymmetry when you gonna get this to the table just now and then.

Good afternoon, for reference is this the size of the current iteration of game board or is this the original size?

Game looks great and the creator is a great guy, very engaged in the gamefound campaign and with his backers, backing was a no brainier for me :)

Thank you for the support and for being part of the Cysmic convention history!
My brain was making connections to Foundations of Rome as well due to presence. All in. Hoping to see it funded!
I backed this yesterday. As a reward for working all weekend.

the miniatures and the board look very thematic, they put you very much in the mood of the case.
Can the spaces collapse under where you are building your colony ship?
This looks awesome. Worried/curious how much pledges will be. If it’s reasonable, I’m in.
Thanks for the comment. The pledge levels are as reasonable as I could make them. I hope you feel the same! I hope to see you in the launch tomorrow!
I'm sure it will be as reasonable as they can make it, but it's going to be ridiculously expensive. No thanks, good luck
@@simonb4689 The game is live now and I hope you'll find the pledge levels quite accessible!
All in back for me!
The campaign page lists it as a 1-6 players game, with a dedicated solo expansion. Just saying. Solo love matters. 🤷🏻♂️

Also, the colours of the 5th and 6th characters should have been the first colours

The choice of pledges absolutely sux. Just saying and totally asked this before it launched.
Big no.
Why?
@@OrangeDaymiobig bloat, not interesting to me
Fair point
Man I do not like that ugly board so it’s a pass.
