I do like the one in this video and another one by same author Nicole Apelian, The lost book of herbal remedies, which gives much more info on what a plant can be used for and in what form. I'll be doing a video on this one too, soon.
@@GARDENING_foraging I’m desperately looking for just the right book; one that: 1. Preferably is specific to the southeastern u.s. but at least North America. 2. Has a broad range of edible and medicinal plants. (Does not have to be super-in-depth. Just a focus on identification and basic utility of the plant/berry. 3. Has color photo images for accurate identification. This is for me to have as I go out foraging and exploring; often I just want to explore and identify plants native to my area (north Georgia) so I can get familiar with them and commit as much to memory as I can. I understand that I will need other books for details on how to prepare them for dishes and detailed medical uses etc. Help? 🙏🏻😬
What Foraging book would you recommend? Thank you for this channel . Blessings

What are your thoughts on the Peterson Field Guide for central/eastern u.s.?
any secon hand copies ,?
Try googling the title and then choose "shopping" button.
Lol in all the foraging book, they evade details of how the poisonous plant kill you, if it say those details people would stop foraging.
Those that do forage, are not deterred by poisonous plants. Serious foragers want to know all the details.
