go with ryzen 5 it is a lot more usable, though if you are using adobe apps, they still work better with intel i5...

yes it has fast processor and enough ram memory for programming, the battery last more than 7 hours so its very good

Backlit keyboard available or not??
Positives: It works, good for everyday use and all ( except issue 2 of the negatives below)
Negatives: 1.The plastic it's made of is fragile, be careful with it. It's 'cheap' in touch and feel.
2. and that can be annoying if you are concern about issues like that: The USB ports on the left side are VERY close to each other so if you have memory sticks with wider cases/body they won't fit next to each other. Even one wider USB stick ( like the SanDisc mobile/pc usb grommets ) and one regular stick won't fit next to each other. In that case you need those female to male USB extension leads.

yes it will run it, the next level is version with geforce mx graphics, its 40% faster than radeon.
How is camera and mic quality, as a teacher it's really important for me, thanks in advance.
i have tested it with viber and zoom and it works fine, sound is very good and built in web camera has only standard resolution, but it still looks sharp and vivid even in low light room.

What worries me about these laptops is the hardware. The housing is made of plastic. I bought an Asus a few years ago and the computer still works fine, but the case has been broken on the top of the hinges several times, and look, I have taken it to be fixed, but being the plastic, well it is what it is. I'm afraid that it will happen again with this one, and even more so having that fine frame

Well ussualy it works but not via regular usb c, u need 60 to 90w power charger, so its still not practical, though some laptops supports slow 5w 30w usbc charger it takes a lot longer than with decicated factory charger...

No This laptop is 4 ram and 128 Gb ssd If you play minecraft It'il even be 15 fps at most.

hi, are there any issues for display colours when you used this? seems a little yellowish on mine.
it looks fine, though it has average color accuracy around 60% i think, try to recalibrate rgb screen levels

I'm planning to buy HP 15s-EQ2158 AMD Ryzen 5 5500U and will use it for online class. But I'm still hesitant since 3 months ago I bought ryzen 3 but it absolutely did not do well in my online class. The laptop freezes, get black out and then automatically shut down. It happens so many times that I brought it back to the store for replacement. Now they are offering me this HP 15s-EQ2158. Should I get this one? I'm really scared and past experience gives me stress.
Any opinions is much appreciated. I'm a teacher and I really need to buy laptop.
its excellent configuration, it will perform better, make sure to complete all windows updates, before u start it fully using.. usually it takes few days to complete if you have basic internet connection.

well ryzen 4700 is very good choice, but in terms of price ratio i think 3500u has greater value, both have more than enough power for office and zoom.

its okay, its comparable with other budget processors, though i would still skip and go with ryzen 3 or i3, they have better support for watching movies and other multimedia stuff.

well it depends how often do you watch keyboard, and yes it could be more visible, but overtime you get to use to it.

yes editing with davinci resolve is faster than with intel i5 version, the exception are adobe apps, which still works faster on intel.

Hi, I'm about to buy the same laptop, and it comes with 256 GB M.2 SSD. My question is: does this laptop have a slot(space) for additional SATA SSD or HDD (so I can add my second SSD, which is SATA, and have them both?)
I got 15s-2105nw a few days ago and with a first look it doesn't seem to be ready to install a secodary drive on SATA port.
There is some space that could fit a 2.5" disk and an 8-pin free slot on motherboard, but there are no extra SATA connectors nor any HDD/SSD brackets or screw slots for an extra disk to be installed.
I have ordered a SATA connecter cable to test if that 8-pin slot on motherboard will recognize any SATA disk when connected, and if so then I ll have to figure a way to mount a disk in there without any screws or brackets available.

I'll get the HP 15s-eq1023nm, and some people replied on other videos that it is possible to add another SSD. If it's not possible then I will get an external HDD. @@SergioSZ8 mine had 4+4, but I got another 8Gb with the same specs and installed it, so now I have 12Gb Ram. I will install the remaining 4Gb module on another laptop.

@@seghir0 No. I waited 1 month+ for the sata connector to arrive from Aliexpress but the pc couldn't recognize the hdd, no matter what. Eventually, I just stuck with the internal SSD that came with the laptop. Maybe in the future I upgrade the SSD with a bigger one.

there is no ips in the specs, though it looks like ips from quick side look, but when you look from top or below the screen the black / shadow details of picture starts to looking brighter/washout, while colors are still looking okay. all in all, its a lot better than average tn screen i have seen in last years.

yes ryzen 7 4700 has more than enough power for gta v, though integrated graphics rx vega is still bottleneck - if you want to play gta v on the highest settings, but in hd medium high it will run smoothly
