'Prelude on Te Deum' on one of the most famous Pipe Organs in the World - Paul Fey

- Some moths ago I've had the opportunity to play the amazing pipe organ at Strasbourg Cathedra in Strasbourg, France. This French style organ is one of the last of its kind and is located in a huge abbey church. It features all the good stuff including high mixtures, fiery reeds and a large 32' Bombarde in the Pedal - an absolute joy to play!
I hope you'll enjoy this recording of the 'Prelude in C' or 'Prelude on Te Deum' by Marc-Antoine Charpentier - one of the most famous pieces of all time! This recording features remastered audio and video. It is played by Paul Fey, recorded on the pipe organ at Strasbourg Cathedral in France.

@@PaulFeytu t est trompé c'est la prélude en D de charpentier :le te deum ,mais bon ca sonne bien a Strasbourg,c plutôt pourquoi tu ne l a pas joué en D?
I wonder what Charpentier would make of the fact that this tune is most famous as the Eurovision tune, which is best known for the song festival. (Almost exclusively known for that although I remember the Vienna newyears concert also being Eurovision)
majestic, awesome acustic!!
I know this is a French organ, but have you recorded on any Portuguese organs? I would love to hear some more music of Soler or other Spanish/Portuguese composers on such instruments!!!
"one of the most famous pieces of all time!" And we all know who to blame for that 😛
Perfect playing... but it would be improved if the first stanza was simpler, quieter. Then contrast on the second at ff, and at the end with fff.
@PaulFey Do Koyaanisqatsi and ask a Russian oktavist to sing with you the bass part and someone else should do the baritone part at an octave and a fifth above the bassline singing "Koyaanisqatsi!"
Who is the composer?
Charpentier, its the Prelude on „Te Deum“ 😀
Nice reupload 😬
Unnecessarily repetitive melody. Bach is better!
Einzigartig perfekt. Heute unter Aufsicht...lol
