i think its a bit hard to find learning videos about liquid dnb specifically on youtube, ill be watching the next one this is a good series and it's exactly the type of tune and vibe im trying to get a grasp of
OH MY GOD!!! Layering the kick and snare with hi hats (one each). That's revelation to me. I used to layer snares and they just sounded mushy. But putting hats over the top - that's given me a really clear kick and snare sound that cut through the mix. AWESOME - this was the tip I needed. (Sometimes layering snares works but this is the clearest sound I've ever got on my drums. So I'll definitely do this again).
7:00 Duplicating a track and panning them left and right doesn't do anything. (WIDER definitely does something). But the panning thing you did - that doesn't do anything. (If you then went on to process the L and the R tracks *in different ways* then THAT would have a stereo effect. That's what you'd need to do for that to have an effect).
@@isaacsimpsonyt I’ve changed my profile name since then. It was w.Thomas. But I thought I remembered you allowing people to send their beats and you give them feedback. I always wanted to send mine in, but I didn’t think they were any good. Thanks for the tutorials.
this deserves more views. Great helpful liquid tutorial, thanks for posting.
That kick + hat layering is chefs kiss
