Google Schippeke agility trails on U tube movies...these dogs kick butt....and there is a healthy competition between the Border Collie breeders and the Skips ;)
Not sure about the training. I would rate them a 5 or 6, seeing as my family has had six of them, they've been relatively effortless to train. Still, I guess it depends on the owners style and how the dog is raised.
Same, I've had two. The first one, was an 'accident', I found him, turned him over to shelter, his people were not looking for him, so I claimed him! He was with me for 9 years. I loved him dearly. So, I got another one! I love him too!
we did get our Cricket from an animal shelter. she was a senior girl and her elderly owner had died and she was put in the animal shelter. we literally got her through Schipperke rescue one day before she would be euthanized. we had her for three wonderful years. I will always try to adopt problem or senior Schipperkees 😭. they are worth it. ❤️
I brushed my Skipper keys teeth every night from the moment I got them and they loved having their teeth brushed with the poultry flavored enzymatic tartar control toothpaste. and because I gave them ocu glo canine eye vitamins, their eyes were clear and they never had cataracts.
I have one, and he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me

As small dogs go, how would you compare them to Papillions? Paps seem to be dominating.
Perkies are the greatest. Mine is such a rascal at 14 she’s still in good shape. My vet says the longest living patient he had was a Skippy.
Schipperkes are the absolute best!

I’ve had two as well, and they’re pretty smart dogs, and I trained both with relative ease. Wonderful dogs …
My precious little skip is the cutest and most lovable and playful dog ever, she’s the good-est of all the girls!
Good luck finding anything but a Pit Bull in a shelter. If you are really lucky, you might find a 15 year old Chihuahua for adoption.
I have a schkipperky mix pitbull
so you have the smartest most mischievous pitbull mix in existence.
You never see this breed in a shelter.

schipperkes commonly have cataracts and hip dysplasia as they get older. they also commonly have dental problems.
