Hey Amy, Well, I got a ninja about a year ago, it was all good until the plastic pitcher broke (cracked) and they wanted $100 for a new pitcher alone. It lasted me 4-6 months. Nothing wrong with it except for the plastic pitcher. So I went back to the Hamiton Beach $30 blender from Walmart with the nice glass pitcher and it works for me same as the Ninja. I can mix anything and it runs until it blends. Been working for 8 months now and the glass pitcher is awesome. Treat that pitcher like the fragile thing it is and good luck with it!
