In the last phone call Shirley said “I’ll never let a man bring me down”…that’s exactly what happened. It had actually already happened when she said it but she couldn’t see it. At that point she had already lost everything and didn’t recognize that he had brought her down.
Since following this story and listening to the recordings I have not been able to listen to a strawberry letter. I seriously can't believe Shirley sat there all these years reading letters, judging people, giving advice and cracking jokes with the team when; her entire marriage to Ernesto has been a Strawberry letter.

If the marriage is invalid the current wife is legally responsible for all the financial obligations. Didn’t she say earlier that they seized her truck and other things to pay the victims?. Well, they can’t take any of her financial monetary earnings if she’s not legally married to him.

This happened to my husband with his ex wife. She married him but was not divorced from the other man yet. My husband found out long after his divorce from her during a child custody battle. The judge said, although it is bigamy, since she divorced the other man during the marriage to my now husband, it still makes his marriage to her legal.
For the bigamy to occur, she would have had to stayed married to the man and my husband at the same time when my husband filed for divorce from her.
So his divorce is now finalized, so does that make Shirley’s marriage to Ernie legal? 🤔
