The song was originally Abel by himself and was close to being pop song of the year, then a couple months ago they released the "remix" which bought Ariana in, making it remix of the year (I think you are right in describing as more of a duet. ) Then they do this live performance that blows every thing out of the water. Also Ariana wrote her part of the remix she is the only extra producer writer in the credits. Oh I'm a 47 year old metal head but this version bought tears to my eyes first time i watched it.
