My cousin made one and I just seemed like the perfect way to get rid of my memorable shirts without saying goodbye! Quarantine is the perfect time to do it. My last project before college!
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my gf recently =)
Dang, this is such a good idea! I love blankets and have a lot of graphic tees that I don’t wear anymore but I don’t want to get rid of them because I had them for so long. Such a neat idea!
Hi, I had Natalia make a blanket for my daughter who lost her bestfriend recently to suicide. I must say she did an AWESOME job! My daughter LOVED it. Thank you so much, Natalia!! Have a very awesome new year!
I was just thinking this! The other videos on here didn't show the full process or made it too complicated. Hers was interesting and straight to the point.
There is an easier way to do the back part and border. It involves just one piece of fleece or whatever backing fabric you choose, and making it 1-2” bigger than the front (tv side) side. It involves cutting corners of the back piece and sewing them at an angle, placing front side on top of it, pinning, then sewing it over the edges of the front side to make a border. It looks very smooth. This method would make it so you don’t have to cut the border out separate than the back. It is less cutting, sewing, and time. It is VERY easy too. Look up “sewing fleece blanket with front border” and you will find a lot of good videos on it.
My mom made one for a friend out of her toddler's onesies and tops and it was so adorable!!! Great idea!!! Now you're making Taylor Swift dupes!!! Amazing journey 🤩
I have a lot of old band t shirts that either have gone through the ringer or don’t fit me anymore. It’s too hard to get rid of them so this idea is perfect! Thank you for this!
Going to have to get my sewing machine out and remember how to use it😂 have lots of my dads t shirts since he passed I can’t bring myself to get rid, so excited to make a blanket from them!xx
Did you permanent sew the batting to your big square of tshirts so that it wouldn't get all bunched up inside? I'm concerned that if I wash the blanket that the batting will get all bunched up inside.
I'm currently making a t-shirt blanket and I was wondering if you sewed down your batting in each of your rows because I fear that if I only sew the outsides like you did at 2:52, when I put the blanket in the wash the batting is going to bunch up on the inside. please help me!
Thank you 🌆🌌 I'm gonna make a t-shirt blanket! :D I've got some band/festival t-shirts that are now too big for me but I love them too much so this will be perfect 💜
Tried to follow this video to do a blanket. Got to the point of doing the borders, then it all went wrong. I did the the top, then the sides. But was not told to hold the top down before i did the did the the sides. Had to rip it out and do the sides again, this video is great but very vague. Had a hard time to figure out what side my backing should be placed on the blanket to sew. Finally figured it out.
Oh it's a very good idea ! I love it :) Thank you very much. All the t-shirts in my wardrobe will finally change their look and serve again :) Have a nice day
I really enjoyed your video. :) I'm trying to make a pillow case for my son that uses my dad's old shirt. He passed away last week and I thought it would be a good memory pillow case for him, like a throw pillow. Got any advice? I don't use a sewing machine, so I do everything by hand. :) thanks and awesome video.
For a single bed the squares measure ??e And how many squares are used? I was thinkin of getting some tshirts from kmart what sise tops to do think i should get
What one of my friends did was take an old sheet and had tshirts on one side and the sheet on the other so she knew that it would fit the size of the bed
I am making a t-shirts blanket upon the request of my daughter-in-law. I cut the t shirts into 13”x13” squares including 1/2” seam allowance for all sides. She gave me 12 shirts, in this case, the final measurement of my blanket will be 3’ x 4’ . What I want to say is that you can determine any size of the blanket you want.
My daughter lost her best friend to suicide. She was able to get a lot of his tee shirts but they’re just sitting in a pile. Can I send you the tee shirts and you charge me ? I don’t need anything to big just something like a throw ...please let me know. You do beautiful work! 💕

Same here 💜 did you end up making it?
Lindsey Hiccups heh, nope. The tees are still sitting in a bin waiting to be turned into a blanket, oops
Yea

Omg that’s gunna be so amazing when it’s done!
My mother in law made this for my wife back in college!! I always thought this was a cool project! Great job on the video :)
My mom made one for a friend out of her toddler's onesies and tops and it was so adorable!!! Great idea!!! Now you're making Taylor Swift dupes!!! Amazing journey 🤩

What a cool blanket. I like how you show step by step. Thank you for sharing.
Going to have to get my sewing machine out and remember how to use it😂 have lots of my dads t shirts since he passed I can’t bring myself to get rid, so excited to make a blanket from them!xx

I've been wanting to make a tshirt blanket forever but all the other tutorials I've seen have you use stabilizer.
Really a good idea for reusing old tees.. thank you for sharing..
Have so many sentimental tees. Even some for my kid and grandkid. Want to make these it looks fairly simple. Thanks!
Yes thank you so much! All the other videos make it seem so complicated!❤

Tried to follow this video to do a blanket. Got to the point of doing the borders, then it all went wrong. I did the the top, then the sides. Such a great tutorial. I have many baby clothes from my sons that I can’t part with. I will do this with them!
You did amazing!!
Definitely doing this! I’ll do it with shirts only from my favorite band! Super excited :D
I'm also doing mine from band shirts. I have some from 20 years ago! I can't bring myself to throw them away or donate. No way!
Finally an easy tutorial thank you!
This video was incredibly helpful! I definitely wanna make my own now. Just gotta learn to sew 🤣 thank you!!!

Thank you so much I needed this video after hunting high and low this one is easy to follow and straight to the point! 💖💖💖
what size would you say that blanket is? Im looking to make a king or queen sized one...
This is the best tutorial for this!
hi. may I know what type of fabric I need to use for the side and back part of the blanket??
planning on making a wool blanket that has this on one side so it is soft and some patches on the other side, hopefully it goes well
How did you do your corners using the border fabric?
What do you mean by clip the corners? Almost finished mine but confused by this final step!
thank u so much😘😘
What supplies do you need for this
Isn’t that inner part called batting?
What would you use to fill the blanket if you want to make a quilt for warmer weather
Batting!
Hi I liked you showed it looks easy.i wanted to ask i have concert t shirts i just can is them on back can I put some kind os zooming in omit
Natalia... That blanket is adorable!!
It's cool 😎
Thanks for the video, sweet one!
Im thinking about doing this with my high school tshirts next year before college
New subscriber! Wow! That is a great idea! I need to try that.
I have t shirt but there all different sizes, because there from concerts, not sure how to put it all together, Help!
I really don’t want to cut my shirts though because mine are Ffa and can’t get new ones

One day I'll do this with my t shirts from school
What tool were you using to draw the lines and where did you buy it?
This was so helpful thanks you soo much❤️❤️
For a single bed the squares measure ??e
And how many squares are used?
I was thinkin of getting some tshirts from kmart what sise tops to do think i should get
Idk what a "single" bed is but just look up the dimensions of the sheets on your bed and go from there.
I love this I want to do it with my kickball T-shirts but I don’t have a sewing machine 😩
what is the measuring tool you used to get the size of the shirts called? The plastic one with lines?
amazon job nice blanket
So do you sew the backing on it or not? That was a little confusing, it will mean a lot if you can clarify!!! TYSM!
Yes. It will help stabilize it and add warmth. Otherwise it's like a t-shirt sheet and not a blanket.
Batting?
Amazing video
If i wanted to make a doona cover for a single bed how many squares would be needed
What one of my friends did was take an old sheet and had tshirts on one side and the sheet on the other so she knew that it would fit the size of the bed
@@isabellamerritt3326 great idea! If only I had old sheets. My dog destroys all of them 😆
Thank you 😊
Great video could you make another
Nice!
💗💗💗
How many shirts did you use?
16
How many tee shirts?
It's a 4X4 blanket....

Amazing
Which machine needle use for sewing T-shirt blanket 😈😈
You can probably use a regular one. Unless the shirts are really thick.
What is the difficulty level on this project? Has anyone made one?
Btw, all these supplies can be easily found at a Wal-Mart super center which will have it at the lowest price but it's still good quality materials.
NICE
❤
You're such a cutie pie!
