I bought both this past week and am scratching my head. The zillion has 10 BB and steez hlc 8 😮. Same drag. Zillion longer handle too. So why is steez hlc 200$ more ? Any ideas about trying to swap spools? Put hlc force boost in zillion and lol what would happen?..
@@muskyvictim I found that the HLC is only good for 3/4oz and above for max distance anything less and you will have issues, I had the zillion and wasn’t really impressed with it until I added the mag z boost spool. I heard the zillion brass gears in the us model doesn’t hold up as well as jdm model with the duralumin gears. The steez A are excellent reels. Just bought the new steez A II from japan for 384 shipped, the USA model is 650 talk about nuts.
@@muskyvictim also if you find the steez a HLC spool too wild , japan tackle sells a mild version of that spool. Jun replaced the stock brake rotor with the one on the zillion hd model.
@@jeffreylenz7314 so I asked Digitaka which I should buy for my 1-2 oz swimbaits and he recommended the 21 hlc over the 22 aa ..I have 20 years experience with thumbing baitcasters so no trouble with hlc .. now awaiting the zillion HD ( Digitaka lol , I also appeal to Asian Portal..) and in doing my homework tardy as always noticed the zillion has 10 BB and 21 hlc 8 so js.. I honestly believe that magnetic braking systems are better than centrifugal. What are your thoughts on that?
I’m a bigger fan of the mag braking.. magnets hardly if ever wear out..
How would you compare that to the new zillion? Do you think this model will really make that much of a difference in max distance over the 21 zillion?
