If only businessmen followed the capitalistic ethical values that has been implemented by Adam Smith there will be no need for what's so called unions , also i find the fact that unions are becoming an important thing to have in order to protect workers rights awkward in a "democracy" because it makes it appear as if educated people still don't know the alphabets of human rights in a civil advanced society
You only need to look anywhere in modern society to see that they haven't. The overall theme of the US economy is the extraction of wealth from the many into the hands of a very select few.
A union is a voice that the company must listen to. With out a union you are a lone individual without influence of any kind. An exploration.
