Phil Dawe Hi Phil, I have removed this users comments, not because of what he said but because he is a known troll that attacks users and people on RC Groups and other places. great stuff. ok cool.(I tweaked my end too). great content, will be interested to see how these goggles go! I have quads, wings and a much liked P4P. (although most of my wings are needing loads of glue to resurrect them) cheers
Great explanation and review in all the depth of the system. Luckily I found that before I had sold my goggles cause I had used them only randomly on my mavic 2 ... But searching for a fixed wing goggle form Aomway I found links to the analog receiver and its abilities to save that money and now the abilities of the fpv air system that i will purchase ... used I guess. Saves me a lot and offers a lot. Now I will have to check your update videos. Thanks a lot.
Great content as always, looking forward to the flight videos. Mine arrived yesterday, awesome kit with huge potential, particularly if DJI are shooting for Mavlink compatibility. To my mind this will be the area that best suits this kit. Would also be good if they also offered their own FC so us mere mortals don’t hav3 to faf around learning about Betaflight, INAV, racing quad lingo I’m not interested in. I’m not too bothered about running RC through the goggles as I already use the excellent TBS Crossfire kit on the Taranis, it’s more the long range digital video with good comprehensive and flexible osd.
robrow agree a dedicated smaller F.C. would be great, they have the platform with Mavic so can be done. Mavlink support will be good too for Pixhawk users.

Yes I understand the small HDMI socket is there (looks the same size and identical to the one on the white colored dji goggles) but have you had a chance to plug in a third party HDMI video source (eg. Tv receiver, PC, gaming device etc) into it to confirm it actually does display the video source and play the audio for sure please as otherwise I don't know why that dji rep would say it can't do that.. Now I see what MSP is. Does this mean the ocusync unit no longer supports the inav/betaflight family? If it still do, how is osd developed here? Can GPS info be shown? Thanks.

What is the correct way to mount the ocusync air unit on a quad allowing for adequate cooling. Just reached that stage with mine but DJI advice is very scant in this area. Any type of mounting would have to be heat resistant.
It would, Basically I should be mounted where it can get some airflow as it does need some passive cooling, otherwise if you hurried it into a body I would add a fan tbh.
Mad RC Yes, DJI even make comment about using a cooling fan. Still not sure what to physically use as a mounting media, think this an ideal opportunity for those 3rd party accessory producers to come up with something as they usually do so quickly.
robrow I have created some brackets and things for the camera and mounting the air unit and posted them to Thingiverse here that my be of some interest.
