For those who don't don't know Albufeira, it's called the "party town". Not the most charming town in the Algarve, it's quite during the day, family oriented (beach and restaurants). At night the town is wild! Stag and Hen parties, live music, etc. This video shows the old town, which has quite a lot. But if it isn't enough, 2kms east, there's more pubs and nights clubs / restaurants.
Got to say Kev , that resort looks fantastic, especially at night, great bars & restaurants, everything you want by the look of it , terrific atmosphere about with all the live music. Think I need to be visiting this place .👍
Got to say, what more could you want from a holiday, Albufeira is right up there, I stayed near the new town and only had a fleeting visit to the old town when I was there half a dozen years ago, but the old town looked fantastic there, the new town for stags n hens, so impressed by the old town, maybe one of your best videos Kevin imo⭐

Excellent videos as usual kev a nice big clean looking beach I particularly like the nightlife in albufeira plenty to see and do the hotel rooms appeared to be pretty basic but clean and tidy which is all you really want overall a kind of holiday I'd enjoy I am thinking of going somewhere I've never been before and albufeira ticks all the boxes so maybe there in the meantime kev keep up all your good work and don't forget to keep your excellent videos coming thank you Kevin greetings from Swansea South Wales
agree Linda, lacks the charm of Benidorm old town but cant be beat for atmosphere . If you like Benidorm old town you would like it here I think its a bit more lively.

Haven’t been for a while however as luck would have it my son is getting married in Vilamoura in July and we are staying in Brisa Sol in Albufeira. Your videos have brought back great memories and make me look forward to my visit in July even more. Thanks again.

Going back to Albufuirea for the first time in 16 years , usually Adeje or Benidorm , always liked it ,spent many night in the rock bar ,and used to be a doorman there 7ft .1 tall so friendly.love all your video post .

Great video of a great place. Been there a couple of times. Albuferia goes under the radar with a lot of people. I'm always recommending it to people. Hope to see you in tenerife on your rounds in early August 👍

Hi Kevin, just down the hill at the start of the video is a cracking restaurant on the beach called Vivaldos 👌 The one you couldn't read near the top on the left was " Grease" bar. It had great old tunes and a karaoke (that Kay asked the guy to open an hour early so she could get a sing song) 😀 Great stuff. Keep the videos coming.
Hi Kevin, we have stayed at villa Recife a few times, it is one of the oldest if not the oldest house in Albufeira old town, it was extended many years ago and made into a hotel, there is an old photo near reception, also there are two roof terrace s with sun lounges you take the lift to the top floor to get on the roof, also you haven't explored the old town fully, there is a great restaurant only small place called ovalarios you get 4 courses beer wine, and more on the tourist menu €11.00. Have you been to the new town we call it the noisy strip, hens stags all sorts, ok during the day, very noisy & busy at night. Been to Portugal many many time, love Albufeira, we will be there in October where I will be DJing. Loving the videos, keep them coming. Stephen & Denise from Stockport.
The 'Old Town' is the original part and has its lively spots and overall is a better place than 'The Strip'. The Old Town is really for the over 30's, or so and 'The Strip' is for the under 30's, (mainly the under 25's,) and is more like Benidorm. The Old Town square where the first half of this video is filmed is the heart, but there are various lively streets off it aswell as we see 7 minutes onwards.. I will be there in 24 hours! There are other great towns in The Algarve.

@@ScotsmaninTenerife thxs yeah looks ok if was half the price they was asking for ( was looking at booking 2 weeks for me and my mum somewhere in Albuferia or benidorm or so) but looks very basic even if had a small kitchen / bigger balony but location does look quite good.
Is there anywhere in Portugal you would suggest that would be good to take a family with a kid? A 12 year old kid? Places with theme parks and that kind of thing?

lots of live music, no comedy. Stayed in hotel vila recife it was ok bit noisy but cheap check out the video i done showing you rooms. thanks

lots of bars in the square Helen, side streets a bit more quiet. Many bars have live music, nice restaurants up near the church. You will love it.
On Sunday you'll get Pans Pipes all day in the square LOL. They're good though but go on a bit.
