The wife and I have just returned on Monday from abuferia .we are not old fuddy duddies and like our music but the old town was just a rabbel every place that had a band or music was playing it a full blast and trying to drown each other out .and I have never seen so many gangs of men not teenagers but older men who were drunk and loud in my life .we will never go back again .
Looks like the Benidorm of Portugal (maybe not as extreme): a brash and bustling bar/club scene but plenty of more sophisticated attractions too. What constitutes the "off season"? I know Albufeira is a popular winter destination for the older crowd, when the Strip is, presumably, in hibernation.
A great time to go would be March to May and September to October. Picture perfect weather at those times. Lesser tourist numbers and the nice restaurants are in full swing
This is great. Thanks for sharing. When you said off season which month of the year did you visit? I am planing to visit this November hoping the it would still be sunny and warm.
Hi there, we visited the last week of April, which together with Autumn is an ideal time, as its far less busy. The weather in November will be about 21c 70f. We have been in the Algarve slightly later, in December and it's still very pleasant.
Great video , we should of visited Albuferia 2 years ago but that got cancelled , hopefully we will be visiting in 2025 with family , so far the old town looks like its ticking all the boxes, we have children so the beaches and watersports look amazing
Hip video!!!!! how do you feel about going in January February and March? It’s supposed to be rainy season. How much rain? I was gonna go from Christmas to New Year’s and then up to Lisbon.
Loved the video, especially the restaurant with the Cataplana. We visited in early March this year. That was really off-season ! A lot of restaurants still closed and boarded up. What month did you visit ?
Hi there, yes I'm afraid most likely the beaches will be packed, but the closer you go to the end the better, as a lot of the European schools start going back into session

Why don't you go to the real Algarve? Like Cacela Velha, Cabanas de Tavira, Tavira, Santa Luzia........or the other way towards Sagres.
Oh no……..

A lot of people go for winter sun, as it has a great climate. Cooler but still sunny
@@ritzytravelguide I’ve seen photos of Christmas time n it looks lovely. A lot of people on holiday
Yes, the Portuguese love to decorate for Christmas and the New Year!
Oui c est partout en Algarve des villes souvent sales clientèle vulgaires

Hi, we were there mid April. That extra 4 weeks obviously made all the difference!

Old town lots to explore rent car drive to other areas as well
I’m going on Saturday. Can you get weed? Maryjane? Even from the locals? Did you even smell any weed?
nice Video guide - I found Lagos a bit better but Albufeira looks great too!
Thanks!
I guess everyone is different but I recently went to Albufeira to see if it was as bad as I thought. It was worse! Portuguese Blackpool.
Why you say this? Looks walkable n relaxing n able to hike or walk the waters
Great video but he reminds me of Hanibal Lecter 😆
🙄
Booked to go in December when im thinking it should not be party central
Hi, it certainly shouldn't be party Central then! But some of the eateries may be closed for the season. Should have a nice festive feel at that time.
Thinking same thing
Just back from Albufuira , lovely place but not the strip
goiania"brasil
Destination for the month of March 2025. No more of this Nova Scotia winter bullshit.
Give me that baccalau every day in the sunshine.
Goodbye Nova Scotia!!
Farewell to Nova Scotia 😊
I will not be going to the strip
I’m going in end of August do you reckon the beaches will be packed I’ll be staying in the old town ….Great video by the way !
