Lesson learned -- put the snap down 3-3.5cm instead of 2.5cm because when you do the final top stitching, it's too close to the top edge. Broke the needle on my sewing machine! Otherwise, this pattern is amazing!!

I made this bag as a gift tonight and it was not difficult at all. I would put the magnet button slightly lower than an inch next time since it was difficult to top stitch near it. I also added an extra pocket inside for more storage.
I did not have any canvas on hand, so I used a quilting cotton, but even with interfacing(shape flex) it was kind of flimsy so I starched and ironed the entire bag when I was finished to help it hold it’s shape. It’s also important to make sure you stitch a 1 centimeter seam. I just kind of guessed what a centimeter looks like and had to adjust as I went since things didn’t line up perfectly. It wasn’t a big deal though. I’ll be more careful if I make this bag again. Great tutorial, thank you!

Hi , I just love that bag , I really want to sew it for my job ( books and computer ) what adjustments would be be necessary to make it higher ( 40 cms. ) and larger 45 cms thanks
You should add an additional 14 cm in length and add 10 cm for the width of each fabric from the original measurements in the video.
