Those rooms are beautiful! Thank you for the video
Thank you for the very thorough tour!
Our pleasure!
Which is the better building, Longshore or Paradise?
Sorry, can’t answer that.
@TravelingPogMah ok, thanks...was thinking about going next month- that's how I found your video
Glass toilet door? That’s dumb
How is the resort handling the dangerous conditions in Jamaica in which travel is discouraged for Americans? Is this a gated property with armed security?
I emailed the resort for more information, which I'll pass along once I receive it. In the meantime, here is some more information.
The US State Department has had Jamaica at a Level 3 (out of 4) Advisory since 2022. They said "Violent crimes, such as home invasions, armed robberies, sexual assaults, and homicides, are common. Sexual assaults occur frequently, including at all-inclusive resorts. Violence and shootings occur regularly in many neighborhoods, communities, and parishes in Jamaica."
Per the Jamaica Tourist Board: "There are very distinctly defined areas within Jamaica that the advisory cites as having high risk for crime, so the majority of the island's tourism product remains unaffected. Overall, the crime rate against visitors to Jamaica remains extremely low at 0.01%."
I know this all sounds scary, but I have been to Jamaica 8 times. The latest in 2023 and 2024. Both times I felt very safe. You have to decide your comfort level to travel there.
Sandals Negril is located on the gorgeous 7-mile beach in the parish of Westmoreland, Jamaica. Some other resorts in that area include Beaches Negril, RIU Resorts, Couples, etc.
Check out the advisory at the US Department of State at

The 4 areas under “Westmoreland Parish-Do Not Travel” do not include the area of Sandals Negril. Check out their do’s and don’ts.
Do not travel outside your resort unless on a tour sanctioned by your resort. Or, use a cab that your resort has requested for you and make sure your driver will be the same one bringing you back to your resort.
Keep a low profile. Know your surroundings. Avoid secluded places. Do not walk or drive at night. Off resort property you are are higher risk.
Keep in mind these are things you should be doing anywhere you travel.
Sandals does have a gated entrance with security. And, also security at the beach.
@@TravelingPogMahThanks for the info. Staying at Sandals Negril next week and just found out about the advisory.
