Pete - you are serious inspiration! Amazing tone and playing every time! Thanks for the music mate.
From one great player to another!
I totally agree Tom. I believe Pete is a true expert of guitar sounds, and of course a great guitar player :)
Tom you're a great player as well and yes, Pete is fantastic and really understands tones from every angle - his album "Guitar Nerd" was appropriately named.
I totally agree Tom...I think Pete's videos are the best on UA-cam!!
THANKS MAN!
Pete, over the past few years you have made such a benchmark for this kind of "no-nonsense equipment-test-videos".
Solid playing, solid knowledge and solid technical deliverance.
Thumbs up from Norway!
thanks!
Incredible how everything sounds good in your hands. You're awesome!
Great demo, great playing. Both of these pedals are awesome.
Very nice to see Pete's reviews and better yet to hear the His songs in the video :-)
That intro song is amazing, i love it!
Wasn't blown away by the Riot Reloaded when I tried it, but this video has inspired me to give it another go. Already have the Shiba Reloaded (and the Riot, Shiba, Koji, Jack Rabbit). Suhr make killer pedals.
The musician makes all the difference! Hail Pete!!!
Wow. Awesome opening tune showcasing the pedals followed by a practical and easy to understand explanation. Great vid as always, Pete (big fan of your music)
I'm still rocking my original Shiba!!! Awesome pedal.
That was some serious shred in the beginning of that video, loved hearing those pedals wail. Bummed I bought my original Suhr Riot right before they released the new one.
Great to hear ya Pete thorn great jam and effects
Loved that progression at the beginning...been looping it all day and playing over it.
One day you've gotta take all these little tracks you record for your demos and put them up on Jamtrack Central as backing tracks. I'd buy them.
Excellent review. Great sounding pedals and guitars. Your playing is inspiring to me.
wow! great playing! gave me goose bumps!
Man, you straight up frigging rip. Keep up the good work!
thanks!
I was paralyzed by the opening track... I'm filing a lawsuit. You are a freaking animal on guitar Pete.
That was some fantastic lead playing ....very tasteful! And loved the last note! Keep up the great work
Great playing Pete, as usual :-). Awesome chord progresion at the intro of the video!
Killing it man! Really dig your articles in Premier guitar too! Thank you!
Bloody Hell Mr. Thorn another awesome video.....and you don't help my GAS either!
awesome tune in the beginning
Thank you for playing through a Vox! Sounds killer as usual!
Just filthy, the tastiest playing I've heard in a while
Nice stuff, got to get them both.
No worries Pete..you're videos and tone are killer..my best friend is the lead guitarist for Roger Waters..I'm mixing his new album right now and showed him your videos
The shiba boosting 😍
Why do we not have some kind of Webby Award for best guitar gear demos???? Who in the hell do we have to talk to to make that happen? I'm pretty "Suhr"' I know who the first winner needs to be.
I second this petition
STeller playing Pete... your awesome
Nice demo! Great tones.
Great demo
You just made the Old Shur Riot Look like crap Pete. Peddlers are amongst the stunned.
Pete вы потрясающий музыкант!
Woaw!!! amazing song first to video !!! i love it a lot !!!
a long time ago i think since "Unstoppable Momentum" by Satrianai I had not heard anything so good !!!
Now I want your album and these pedals later !!! loooool... thanks Pete I can start my day well !!!
Thanks Chris :)
Chris RIBERA what was the song he played in the beginning?
I don't know man? maybe Pete can answer ? ;)
Maybe I'm just having a brain fart but perhaps you can do a 5 minute lesson on how you sync the video with the audio that is (my guess) recorded via your Universal Audio interface. It get's especially tricky when you start adding other guitar parts and playing different guitars. How do you do it? Keep up the great videos and I think a lot of us are still waiting on part deux of your new pedalboard.
Man!!! I stopped watching at 1:20 just to say this: AWESOME!!!! loved your playing!!
Thank you!
enjoyed the solo in the begining
Pete, as always fantastic demo. What pickups are on that Goldtop? Killer sound. Thanks.
it's so cool‼️
i just Love all your uploads, big fan! but i would like to ear the les paul with the riot screaming... cheers
ROCK ON
Best guitar player.
Pete, your influences are all over the place arent they? Haha, Im impressed with almost all your vids. What would you say are the three essential solos to develop a real basis for classic rock soloing? Ive been promising myself to learn to solo for years now but cant ever stick to a song. Going to invest in riffstation soon, ear training over tabs or lessons. Blablabla. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you! My influences are all over the place, yes! ha.
F YES, PETE. F YES.
Good to hear a demo through a vox amp!
Were you running the normal or top boost channel?
Hey Pete, nice review!!!
Can you tell me about your signal chain and eq?
I really loved your tone!
Thanks in advance!
Have a great 2015
Edison Villela I used the PT100 clean channel, and I think Ownhammer IR's for speaker simulation. Thanks Edison
Hey Pete! Me podes pasar las especificaciones de la telecaster Suhr que usaste en este video? Gracias.
24th fret yes, but you bent up to the proverbial 27th fret 🤘
Are you all presenting pedals go direct in amp clean chanel our in ?....
Peace brother! You got good alignment.
Hi, Pete, awesome demo as always, but I am wondering that what does the riot reloaded sounds like with single coil strat and a clean amp????
Great stuff Pete! Quick question. Do you use the TwoNotes for recording? If so, do you use the same (stock or otherwise) cab model for all your heads?
definitely prefer the new Riot to the old, but i prefer the older Shiba to the newer.
Nice axes
Pete, at 5:22 it sounds as if the CH1 of the PT-100 is slightly dirty, not sparkly clean. True? True for all the following Riot sounds? I had the original Riot and found that played into a slightly dirty amp it would sound rather fuzzy, not transparent at all. Doesn't seem to be the case with the Reloaded...
5:08 sings so well, the sustained drive is there, it's up to the player to control it.
How would the Riot Reloaded do for Slash - Jimmy Page - Hendrix tones?
Slash - yes.
The others? Maybe not that pedal. I could be wrong but it's a very modern sounding distortion.
Just realized this is 3 yrs old oh well I'll leave it anyway
the sound quality is amazing on all of your demos, what mic do you use?
Leave him a few secrets to himself, geez :P
Hi Pete, which do you prefer for boosting a dirty Marshall style amp, the Bondi Sick As OD or the Suhr Shiba Reloaded?
the green color...
Chris Aguilar it's blue and purple
Was that the Suhr Modern satin?
Pete - do an alternative picking lesson. Come on man.
You just go down up down up down up... ha ok J/K I'll do one! a 5 min lesson on alt. picking. Soon.
Pete Thorn
Almost spit out my drink on that one lol.
David, as someone who didn't pick up guitar until he was 36, I can tell you for me that picking hand placement is key. I'm constantly working at finding the most comfortable place to 'bridge' or anchor my right hand so that I can alt pick and reach all the strings. That position changes depending on whether I'm using my SG or my Tele. Still a work in progress, but it's coming a long. Good luck.
I'm a master of "alternative" picking.
But I can't alternate pick to save my life :)
@@rcoveyduc
Good luck man. I started learning to play properly at 42 and all I can say is:
Biology matters. Gettin' older suuuucks.
Just asking whats "favourite amp from England"
Marshall, more specifically probably the JCM800
Oh ok! Thanks man!
u like Allsaints Spitalfields too = )
talpajam I do, It's true
Hey Pete, what mic(s) did you use in this vid?
This riot pedal tone is so laney vh100
Very wrong methodlogy mistake. You change the pedal and change the microphones and the guitars. How can we compare the change of nearly the entire chain ?
Maybe just because this is not meant to be a comparison. There is no VS between the pedals. No fight, no competition, just a plain double demo. At least that´s how I feel about it and it´s perfectly OK for me....
Ladislav Malák My thoughts eggs zack lee
At 200$
Oh Pete, awesome just doesn't cover it. Immense, that will do.....
Stupid demo... why changing guitars... stopped watching this
Amps mics 😂😂😂😂😂
your parents are cousins? lol.
are your parents cousins? lol.
Hi Pete,
Have you tried the Kiko version of this pedal
What's your thoughts, maybe you could do a demo ?
