The incredible memory boost one derives from placing ideas in a physical space is one reason I still keep some notes, natively, on physical notebooks (screen-shotting and tagging into Obsidian). You can customize the map to your heart's desire in QGIS. There are some good tutorials linked on Azgaar's export page to learn how to do it. It took me a few trials, but finally, I was able to load all the geojson files and create layers in QGIS + add texture maps.
Yes, though it does take a bit of work to create the shapes you desire, but you have two options to help with that. You can actually draw a map by hand, make a photo and use it in QGIS to draw the map polygons over your drawing. Also QGIS can convert a raster image to polygons, which later you can fill with texture maps, and group into layers. It takes a bit of time to learn... but not that much. Took me 3 nights from zero knowledge of mapping and qgis to learn these sort of basics. I also tried playing with www.wonderdraft.net/, but I found that the maps I drew my hand came nowhere close to what Azgaar's tool generated.
If you increase the number of "states ", it is necessary to make the whole process every time? Open the gis and etc.. It is possible just to insert a new location inside the excalidraw?

you mean that very simplified "map" I drew in Exclalidraw and then loaded in as an image to the leaflet plugin? It is just to demonstrate that you could draw your map in excalidraw as well. Also you are right, you can easily add links in Excalidraw as well. I added a script to the Excalidraw script store "Add Link and Open Page" to facilitate adding a map pin and attaching a link to a document to that pin. you can see an example here: ua-cam.com/video/QNksBPe75Ho/v-deo.html
It’s really interesting, but I want to create something like dashboard for my habits tracking. There is a plugin called Tracker, but it renders in something boring. Maybe you know some way to create something more fancy then calendar or table, using Excalidraw, but keeping it able to update data automatically? One of first ideas came to my mind is growing grass or flowers, describing how productive you were last week🙂
I love the idea and it is completely doable. I might even create a video following your idea... the only issue is, I do not track my habits, so I would need to fake the data :) 3 approaches come to mind immediately, probably more if I think about it a bit harder... - You can generate a daily drawing based on a script. Drawing flowers might be a bit tricky, though I have some thoughts how to make this happen. Here's an example of a daily drawing: ua-cam.com/video/HijK74E3MFM/v-deo.html - You can add an onLoad script to Excalidraw, which will be executed when you open a drawing, again, you can place your flower drawing function in the onLoad function. A lot of people use Obsidian for planning Dungeons and Dragons games :) Using a map like that is 100% practical in that case!
