First off I just stumbled across your chanel ,onybhave watched a few so far . But I see my self Binging All nite .I have a never used Resin , so i have alot of questions. How do you make your paint for the eyes ? I've been looking for realistic Cat eyes. I have 2 granddaughters , they recently lost their Furbabies Ra-Jah & his brother Treagal. I'm attempting a resin project making realistic Eyes that look like the Boys .I really Want the eyes to SPEAK from the Soul of to the Furbabies . Have a Great Day.....
Thank you so much for this technique, I have been trying for a yr to make decent dragon eyes and yours is the bestest!!!! I wish there was a way to show you on youtube of the creation I have done!!!! I love this soo much!!!!! Subscribed!!!!!
Woooooooooah I like it... I like it a lot. You make it 'look' so easy or should that be eyesy! I've yet to try eye's I'm housebound so I have to wait for everything through the post. I can't wait now I have seen your video. Thank you and take care👍😷👍🏴
Well I am a beginner and I love your technique! You make it look so dang easy but I am trying hard!! Thank you for sharing your talent with us all and I think you are my new hero!!♥️ I am trying to learn the pottery side of it too! I lost my precious mother recently and I struggle to breathe these days!! But the tone in your voice and your kindness has a way of helping me and gives me something new to focus on!! Thank you for being an amazing teacher!! I wish I could sit next to you and just watch….your technique has a way of slowing my mind and soul down❣️
I paint realistic eyes with acrylic paint, but the ones you do are very nice. I never saw eyes done in fingernail polish before. I love the simplicity and the realistic effect. You have found a great art form.
Thanks for watching! Like I mentioned in the video, it might take a few practice runs, but the fun part is you can easily scrape it off and have a do over! :)
You make this look so easy! I have been trying to paint 18mm cat eyes the same way you show in the video and I cannot get it to look right. I've finally figured out that I can shape the pupil with a thin brush and acetone instead of the safety pin I was using. Now I got mica powder and the nail polish base but I can't seem to get the opaqueness that I want. The polish looks super pigmented but once I put it on the eye it is super see through 😭
O M G I'm looking at the blue one you did and thinking how on earth did you make it so gorgeous . . . And now I know! So freaking easy! I'm definitely gonna try my hand at it. Where do you get your mica powder? Thank you sooooo much 💜💜💜
Thank You very much! 🥰 I purchased a bunch of eyeballs, tried what I thought would work, and didn't get the results I had anticipated. Your technique works, and it looks amazing!
What the name of the bottle you thin paint with and where do you get those blanks you are very inspiring I have been subscribed to your channel a while now....I love your videos......
Thank you Brenda for all your support! The only thing I use to make my nail polish and to keep it workable is the Brambleberry suspending nail polish base. The only place I've found it is online through their site. If you google search brambleberry nail polish base it should pop up. I forgot to tell you. I get my glass blanks from Amazon. I search for the sizes I want in millimeters and buy the cheapest :)
@@HeathersTreasures Thank you! I am learning and you have helped me! Currently getting ready to mix my colors of nail polish to use! I have micas that are not for body use.. I knew I had them for a good reason! Anyway, thank you for your kind words! Your enthusiasm is wonderful!! -Darlene
This video was fabulous, I do needle felting and I would like to do my own eyes so thank you. I would like to ask a question what paint do you use? Thank you for sharing .
I buy my glass cabochons from Amazon. I explain and show in the video the nail polish suspending base. I believe I put a link in the description in a previous video. www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/ingredients/bases/body-care/suspending-nail-polish-base/V000520.html The mica powders I use come from colour cottage, but you can use any mica powder you like. Here is the link also to the video I did a few days ago making the nail polish: ua-cam.com/video/aCWFYtI5pl8/v-deo.html Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for your wonderful video, have watched it twice you are very talented and I have enjoyed making my Dragons eyes today, you take care Vivien x
I’m doing a monster bash challenge and I need one big eye to finish my creation this has been INCREDIBLY helpful thank you for the content you now have a new subscriber!
I accidentally found this page, and how timely it was. I have been painting dragon eyes for awhile now and find it a tedious process and they don't look especially good when I'm done. Is all the "paint" that you use nail polish? Do you use a certain type, or is inexpensive nail polish just as effective? I can't wait to try your technique. Are you using nail polish remover to clean your brushes? All this time I have been using acrylic paints, the metallic paints, and the colors are amazing, but you're right drying and scraping and repainting, over and over again to try to get the right look and ending with a mucky back when I'm finished.
This is fabulous. I totally found you by accident. I hate to do dragon eyes and I do sooooo many. I love this. Thank you so much for sharing. I am going to try this. Like today. I am just getting ready to do a dragon eye box. LOL!! Thank you for the inspiration! I hope someday I can return the favor. You ROCK!!! Great eye. YAY!!!
As a nailtech I use the anti dust sprays. I would make the pupil first like you do and dry it. Then add the colors and while it is still wet I’ll spray right in the middle for a nice ombre effect. Maybe something to try out☺️
Hello! Ive been trying to master this technique for my creatures I make, can I ask do you use acrylic for the pupil? if so how do you get it to not move around when you start blending the iris colours, I've even let them dry over a week and they still slide when im blending :(
My first time here. Wow! How beautiful your eyes are. 😂 Joke aside. I'm glad you tube recommended you. I'm going to have to try making one with you. Thank you for what you do. You help people have fun. That's golden. Thank you!.😊

Brilliant Love your technique I'll give it a go xx
I love it, I have lots of dragon tears didn't know what I was going to do with them thank you
Use tacky putty on the end of a pencil and stick the cabachon on the end. Then you can hold it with the pencil and keep your hands clean.
I use popsicle sticks for that.
Thank you for this tutorial, Heather. Truly awesome and so useful
LOVE your technique!

I have run into the same problem. I think that is why she uses finger nail polish. I'm going to try with nail polish and see if I get better results.
Do you think I could use uv nail polish for this? The mica tip is very helpful!
