Haltec do an EFI Kit also an NO Fuse/Relay kit which is amazing. I would stay with SC For all my Mini parts SOO To be. Just bought my 1st Mini in 35 Years So looking forward to getting that GOING [Very FAST-ROAD].
Does the adapter included in the purchase? So if I want to swap my ECU today to your kit, anything else I need to purchase today, and when I'm ready to swap to your throttle body even better but that would be down the road..
Does the port connector for the ECU have a cover or have you machined one with a rubber seal in it? Can imagine it'll collect a bit moisture otherwise.
Iv tried contacting these people about 3 times now to enquire about this unit. With also a question about vacum lines but no replies at all. The ecu needs vacum signals to work the fueling
I have a 84 mini with metro 1275 that has been modified to 1310, with KAD 12G940 ROAD100 CYLINDER Head, KAD100 Camshaft, and single HIF44 carb. What would you recommend to upgrade the carb to, from list of upgrade options you discussed on the video, and why?
Hi, you are probably right on the "changeover" point between the 45mm and 50mm throttles - the kit is the regular EFI conversion kit not SPI or MPI - the telling point will be the camshaft duration, if KAD will confirm with you the duration of the cam, if it less than 280 degrees then the 45mm will perform the best with greater torque from low down, if the cam is 280+ degrees then the gas speed when the cam starts working 3000rpm ish will work well with the 50mm version, Regards John
Hi Les, good question, I hinted at this issue In the video ref port injection on a Siamese head is impossible - well Rover did it with the standard MPI - once you try and run outside the parameters of a basic MPI it all falls over, we have tried every possible combination of throttle on the 5 port, the one we stand by is the one we retail!, one injector per cylinder is trying to create port injection - which doesn't work on the 5 port. The Heritage parts are perfect for a 7 port head though : )
So this solution the ECU is able to drive the coils with out a separate ignition module like EDIS? Ive been interested in doing this sorta upgrade for my 998
Hello, the SPI and MPI kits are designed to be intergrated into the standard car - as you mention both types run narrow band for idle control - so you can continue to use the narrow band just for idle control or you can swop it out for a wideband for full closed loop control if you want to. All of our EFI kits have an auxillary connector to run lambda controllers through
Really interested in this kit, just curious as to how the MAP sensor (black vacuum line from fuel trap) works with this kit? As far as I can see there is no plug for the black vacuum line on this ECU. Thanks.
I wanted to look this up, the install guide says "Remove vacuum hose connection from MEMS ECU and blank off (it is not used with the Delta 400 SPi system)."

Terrific job, really seals the deal for me. Do more videos!

great Video thanks so much

according to the manual it is ommited. One less hose 🙂

Will any of these systems work with the jenvey heritage dcoi carburettor style throttle bodies?

why doesn't the spi mpi kit have a wide range lambda? The original mini lambda is a narrow range right?

Is the spi kit also suitable for turbocharging?
Hello - yes the system is used extensively for turbo charged and supercharged engines
How do you adjust the ignition timing with this module????
Did they ever responded to you in regards to this subject ?
