Schooling bass saved my evening

Fishing during the dog days of summer can be brutal for many reasons. Sometimes we fishermen have to change gears and take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves to us. The bottom bite was simply not being very productive so I had to go look elsewhere.

I got the chance to fish a childhood lake of mine in Michigan over the weekend. It's a no wake lake and I don't have a ton of experience with a drop shot so that was all I threw. Had an extremely good day with over 10 fish in the net including a 19in Smallmouth. It's definitely fun when you can get on them! Nice video!
