Great movie, thanks for sharing it. Memories flooding back of '58 - '63. No glass in the muster yard colonnades no doors on the parade ground bogs. Faces of masters and instructors bring some great memories, some not so great. It seems everyone loved Fred Coombes.
I was there from 68-71, hard at first but became easier towards the end, not everyone enjoyed it but for me the discipline helped me and today the school looks like a wonderful place to be educated.
Fantastic - thanks for putting this together ;) I was there from 75-79 before *ahem, leaving earlier than planned ;) Collingwood 58 - then Collingwood 30 ;)
I was at RHS '67 - '73. No glass in the house colonades then & the uniform for school photos was No. 1s, not civvies. From the masters list I know most of those names some of the great characters of my time are missing though. To supply a few nicknames, from top to bottom, 'Whirly, Whirly' Lamb. (From a visit by royalty by helicopter) Alan 'Des' Horne 'Jock' Cairns (possibly the most hated teacher ever) 'Doofer' Brennan Jeff Brooks - art master & a great favourite of mine. cheers, qaam
Drake 1971 - 76. Recognise some of the individuals in pics. Mr Brennan (Doooofa!) House Master Drake and guy with glasses next to him House Master of St. something or other near to Drake House. Since been to RHS website - 300th Anniversary and lots going on - interesting worth a visit. Maybe track down some old chums! Cheers.

Crazy - 50 years later I still remember Fred Coombes.
I was there on the day he joined the school. The man certainly seemed to be well liked and obviously left an impression.
