What a nice memory you provided for these young people. It looked beautiful. I got such a kick out of the footage towards the end when you were finally able to sit down and enjoy all the bites of food.
This brought back memories. We homeschooled our girls. I couldn’t imagine the not having a prom. So we rented a local community center. I hired a DJ and paid a dear friend to cater the event. We decorated the whole nine yards. They invited a bunch of friends who also invited others. We ended up with 40ish students. It was a total blast and I never regretted it.
Kimmy you always have such good ideas for celebrations! I love how much you love your family and friends. You're such a good example ❤ I want to be that kind of wife, mother, and friend.

i did this 20yrs ago for a group of high school girls i was mentoring and they still talk about it today... Making life long memories :)
So, I volunteered to do my son‘s wedding rehearsal dinner. Roast beef loaded mashed potatoes glaze carrots and I baked pastries for weeks and froze some head. My number one son who is perfect, announced right at the time of the dinner that he had asked some friends to stop by. I used every fork and plate and kept serving people and everyone had exactly the right amount to eat and enjoy and then spend the evening together.
I’m in tears watching the love and effort you put into Bostons prom. It is such an act of love to serve your children. I miss having my kids home but I love the Grammy job they gave me❤️my husband and I work great together too😄

Proms are so different now! Back in the 90s in Jersey we would do a post-prom after at the school and the next day everyone would go down the shore. Seems like a million years ago!
Prom dinner? Interesting. The table looked beautiful, and the food looked delicious. In Florida (Central/near Disney) they usually did the prom at a fancy hotel where dinner was included. Maybe that's just my area because it's such a tourist place and there are so many hotels. My husband and I usually argue when we have to plan things together. We get on each other's nerves because we see things differently. I'm usually right. 😄Glad that you are doing videos that include Derrick. It's fun to see the two of you.😊
Im in Detroit, Mi and we have prom send-offs, similar to this. family and friends come over to take pictures and send the couple off to prom. My grandmother made appetizers and dinner for mine
At my prom we had the dinner and prom at our school. My senior prom we had a lock-in when prom was over. One of the best nights of my life.
That brought back memories. We hosted dinner for our sons winter formal. The kids had a blast. At 35, that group of kids still talks about our pre formal dinner.
I so hope Kevin Bacon does that line to start the prom. From what i saw the girls dresses looked lovely.

Kimmy, I did not go to Prom. My two friends were so mad at me for not going with them and getting a dress. Truthfully, I wasn't into all that. And I wanted to work so that somebody else could go that really wanted to go could.

What a fun time. I went to a small school. We always had a banquet before prom. The sophomore class served and put on the dinner for the jr and senior class and the parents.
We all met and got ready at someone's house. And then the boys would come and the limo would pick us up. Our prom was dinner included at a golf course.
I understand the need to protect the privacy of these kids, but sure would have liked to see those dresses close up! What a fantastic meal you provided for them!

I went to my senior prom 45 years ago with my husband. Still my dream man :) I have never heard of a Prom where they don't serve dinner. So the kids have to be part of a group for the dinner part. That's too bad. It was lovely what you did for those 10 kids but lots of parents don't have the hosting talent like you so I'm afraid it's not so fun for everyone. I hope not. xoxo
