I can so relate to this video. My family is from Norther Mexico (Sonora desert) and when I was young we would visit & we were able to sleep outside. My mother would recount having only sticks to brush their teeth when she was young. As a result, she had beautiful straight teeth with zero cavities way into her 50s.

Maybe you can put a fence around your sleeping area... or a fence. The area where she was sleeping, try to continue building that fence around the entire area where you sleep...maybe with a top over it, just in case it rains. I'm pretty sure large animals might be in the area. Try to invest in a tall fence with a door, so that you can be more secure.
