I know Intamin's reputation has taken a hit recently, but why on Earth are their woodies not being built all over? El Toro for example puts out a thrill comparable to any of the best coasters in the world, has one of the best first drops, tons of rediculous air-time, 1,500 Riders Per Hour capacity, and with an investment of $12 million seems like a steal for the any park!
Reliability issues and a few incidents (ex..ZacSpin death and Shoot The Rapids capsize at Cedar Point)... Pretty much why nobody has built an Intamin coaster since 2010 and besides a ZacSpin being built in 2011 at Magic Mountain, Intamin's last coasters were built in 2010. Now awesomeness of the rides they've put out probably has the best reputation! I'd love to see Intamin get back into with the kinks worked here in the future!
You know what I missed Cheetah Hunt when mentioning the ZacSpin for 2011, but was just talking about how Intamin's coaster production has halted. Intamin also built both Drop Of Doom rides as well (2012/2012), so they're still around... But damn would just like to see their coasters make a comeback.
@@luminisoculi3061 Oh really? It ranks in the top 50 wood coasters in the world since it opened in 2008, so Idk if it's horrible. Mitch Hawker even ranked it in the top 10.
@@ybk1223 It's pretty much El Toro in the first half, but it's literally Balder in the second half, you're right :) But both are great wood coasters, so I would love to ride T Express one day.
I went on this ride yesterday and my god it was so fun. When I went on the ride yesterday they either got rid of the brakes after the first drop or they had them turned off. Trust me, without the brakes, this ride goes like twice as fast.
I love that guy wearing the white shirt. If you notice, the girl in front[right] always goes AHHH! AHH! The white t-shirt guy; even at the drop (lol) stays motionless, his hands are like stiff :o I love how he poses at every majestic turn :D
I rode this in my south korea trip in 2019, and there are NO pacing issues. It's rapidfire all the way in the layout, and it NEVER slows down. 100% prefer this ver el toro
It's running so slow in this video. Went on it last winter and it was nuts. By far one of the top 3, if not top 1, wooden coasters in the world when you can get a fast ride on it.
I rode it 6 times today, 3 times front, 3 times back, both very different experiences, can't decide which was best. 50 minute queue time during the day, 30 mins during the evening. Worth it.
T Express just looks insane :) It looks like El Toro and Balder combined and injected steroids into the track :D That's how I would describe this ride. Those airtime hills look ridiculous, and I love Intamin pre-fabricated wooden coasters :) I have not ridden one myself but I would love to ride El Toro, Balder, T Express, hopefully Colossos if that's going to open soon, but yeah Intamin has made some awesome wooden coasters here.
Balder was built in 2003, while this one was built in 2008. But then I kinda see some El Toro too, and was built in 2006. So combination of the two most likely.
I love this ride!! It didn't make me feel dizzy after riding it unlike many other coaster (I experienced that after took the other coaster in Everland)
wait...you said El Toro slows down after speeding up. it starts slow and goes faster just like this one. I only know cuz I've ridden it dozens of times lol.
Both this and El Toro are very smooth. On the rougher rides, the front seats tend to be smoother (with some exceptions). Leaning forward usually helps, too. If I were you, I'd just try to avoid the rougher rides tbh
nice experienced!!really interesting t-epress, i was there before everland.riding t-express. when i watched this video, i feel it what the felt in this video.. very interesting .hoping i can ride it again there in the next time..very far from me..im in the philippines .expensive..hehhe..blessings!!
Looks Awesome ,, but why , why , why a brake in the middle ? I know ,,, to slow ,,,, but could not the designers omit it somehow ? I like coasters ,,,, but hate when there's a brake check somewhere in there ,,, and hate when they stop too quick at the end .
Ka Zak The break is to slow down the ride on purpose. It is to control the G forces. A rollercoaster is built with strength based on the foce that comes with the speed. If they cannot control the speed of the coaster, the coaster is not safe. Besides, what does it matter? In almost all rollercoasters the brake comes at a point where the train is already at low speed.
Ka Zak The MCBR, or mid-course brake run, is there for safety as it acts as the start of a "block" for the coaster. Every modern coaster, dating back decades, is designed on a "block" system, where no two trains of the coaster may occupy the same block (a denoted part of the track) for safety reasons. The little green (usually) boxes you see on the tracks of roller coasters are "proximity switches" and are what tell the coaster's computer where each train has just passed on the track. If the switches indicate that two trains are occupying the same block, the computer will immediately perform a ride stop and will stop all trains at the nearest possible location, whether it be in the station, the brakes before/after the station, the lift hill, or the MCBR(s). The MCBR also occasionally has the secondary function of slowing the train down to reduce G-forces on some coasters, as Patrick said, but that job is usually handled by a select number of "trim" brakes located along the tracks on an as-needed basis, and was not what the MCBR was really intended for on this coaster.
Do y’all always have to ride in the front seat or do you just do that for POVs? This definitely looks like a backseat coaster, those airtime hills after the MCBR look bonkers
It is better in the back seat. There's plenty of airtime, particularly on the many bunny hops towards the end of the ride. Magnificent ride. It's a pity it's so far away from the UK.
I rode this last February, and it left me somewhat traumatized. lol. You're initially hit with two big drops. And the first one feels like your falling off a building (it is nearly 90 degrees). Waiting time in the regular line is 90 minutes or more. Express line will having you riding in 10 minutes or less (Google how to get access).
Outlaw run. If you consider Iron Rattler a wooden coaster (some do some don't) than it would tie with OR. But as of next year, Goliath at six flags great america will be the steepest wooden coaster.
A general point: Togo. Looks at Intamin rides. Intamin rides are fun. Intamin rides are comfortable. Intamin rides are not S&M devices. Learn from them! That ride looks insane. I may become a club TPR member in the future, just for these kinds of rides.

Brandon Winner yup.bgt is getting a coaster in 2016 so it might be an intamin!
Did you know that after the mid course brake run this ride is basically a clone of Balder at Liseberg? I'm dead serious!
I noticed this while watching. Was going to comment, then i saw your comment lol
t-express track mixed El toro and Balder

Love the sound of the upstop wheels straining over all that epic airtime.

Awesome ride, i've been on it a few times when i was in South Korea. For those that don't know, it is the steepest wooden rollercoaster in the world.
@Natasha McHattan at the time of writing the comment, which was 6 years ago, it was the steepest. Now even the switchback isn't the steepest anymore.

A genuine terrified reaction towards a steep wooden roller coaster. I like this video.
