Back in the day my grandfather had a kangal, he would feed him tripe in the mornings and then gut a whole chicken for him in the afternoon. They are magnificent dogs

Great idea keeping his bowls raised! That prevents few issues with large dogs. Also, great choice of food - animal with such a short digestive tract needs meat to satisfy energy need. Kibble is just for occasional snack...

food for lions :D btw Dogs sometimes can't digest chicken bones. The shattered bone goes into their intestines as a splinter and can clog or injure their intestines, causing fatal consequences. especially when the bones are cooked but still be careful pls this boy is amazing
Thank you for your comment. I appreciate your concern 🙂 I'm aware of the risk of the bones, and I never give Aslan cooked bones. Aslan has been on a raw diet for a year and a half now without any problems.

You're right, Aslan does have a big appetite! 🐕 The video you're referring to was actually created two years ago, and back then, that's what I was feeding him. Nowadays, Aslan eats about a kilo and a half of meat a day. 🥩 Yes, it can be quite expensive, but it's all worth it for Aslan's health and happiness! 😊💕
So the raw meat you feeding him is chicken? So u said 1.5kg per day, do u feed thus 1.5kg one time or twice a day with 750gm each? If u feed just one time a day for all these 1.5kg then when would that be? Sorry just curious. I used to have gs too before.
Hey there! Yep, Aslan does enjoy some chicken among a variety of meats - I try to give him a good mix. He gets plenty of minced meat which includes bones, but I also like to treat him to chicken legs, carcasses, and marrow bones, so he's definitely not picky and enjoys different stuff. 😊
Back when I made that video, the number of meals Aslan had would vary depending on our activity level. If we had a day full of walks and were very active, I'd feed him the entire 1.5kg in the evening so we wouldn't go out again after that. But on days when I knew we wouldn't be going for a walk for at least three hours post-meal, I'd split it into two meals - one in the morning after a walk, and the other in the evening after another walk. It's important to avoid exercise right after eating because a full stomach can twist during vigorous activity, and I always make sure Aslan is safe from that. Hope that helps with your curiosity! 🐕💕

My dog looks exactly like yours and I thought I bought an Anatolian shepherd. I thought they were similar but certainly a different breed. My dog is 9 1/2 months old and we just bought a six month old female. How do you calculate how many pounds of fresh food to feed.

Hey there! So sorry for the delayed reply. You're absolutely right to ask about not leaving dogs unattended while they're eating. It's mainly because of the choking hazard. For instance, in this video, you can see Aslan getting a bit too eager and trying to swallow a whole chicken drumstick without properly chewing it. Luckily, he managed to cough it up himself, but sometimes dogs might need our help in such situations. This can happen with toys too, as dogs can choke on them. @@aslankangaldog oh ok, I used to have one GS too, been with since he was 45 days old, her name is Sophie, I love her alot, most of the time she love to hop on my bed sleep right next to me and lick my face, but only trouble was I could discipline her on her toilet schedule that's why she also poop and pee everywhere, can u guide me how to discipline dog on it's toilet?

Hey there! 😊 Aslan now eats about a kilo and a half of meat a day, usually once a day. Depending on how busy we are with walks and how much exercise he gets, he might get some extra snacks. 🐾 When I recorded the video, Aslan was younger and still growing, so he needed more food then compared to now when he is older. I make sure not to feed him at least three hours before our walk due to the risk of stomach twists. It's a serious condition that can affect large breeds like Aslan.

First appearance of saint Bernard dogs is in 1660 ! And this dog is not Kangal ( whatever you see in this video ) , Anatolian shepherd dog and they have been in Anatolian around 6000 years ! And wolves and dogs are not related at all ! It is not proven by science , it is just a theory that what they wanna believe and what they want you to believe !

I feed him about 1.5 kg of raw meat daily when he is older now. Usually, I feed him 750g of meat at a time twice a day, but on busy days with lots of walks, I stick to just one meal 1.5kg. I'm a bit cautious about bloat, so I make sure he has at least a two-hour break before walking after eating.
