Thank you for this video! In the same boat. Went to a different pediatrician because my daughters usual was booked out and this doc said her soft spot looked kinda small, but her measurements and head shape were “perfect”…? Referred her out to the children’s hospital that is also very far from us. I’m gonna get an opinion from her actual pediatrician first because I know her and trust her judgement more. Nothing was explained to me by this other doctor! I saw this big fancy word and the children’s hospital and neurosurgeon on the referral paper. I was really taken aback when I got back to the car and read that. Hopefully her doctor gives me good news.
Do you have a follow up on this? I am kinda in the same boat but her actual pediatrician suggested the neurologist but about 2 and half hours away no matter what where going just waiting on a call for the appointment.
@@sarriegraves6268 hello! Yes, I was able to have my daughter seen by her actual pediatrician and all was well. Her soft spots were just fine. Turns out the doctor I had seen wasn’t even a pediatrician, she was just a family doctor and only meant to administer my daughters scheduled immunizations since her pediatrician was all booked at the time. My daughters pediatrician was very upset that this other doctor told me this. I’m hoping you find clarity and peace. My momma heart goes out to you 🤍
Hello! My son is doing great now. The shape improved by the time he was about a year old and fully by 14 months. His small soft spot hasn’t been an issue for him, and he’s been hitting all of his milestones early! I hope you’re able to get quick answers and know you’re not alone. Reach out if you’d ever like to chat. I may not have experienced the same thing you’re going through, but I’m always here to listen and help in any way I can, even if it’s simply words of encouragement. I hope all is well! ❤️
@@gayathrikittu3285my baby didn’t have to do any treatment, as they said the issue he had would resolve itself with time. Around 14 months old, you couldn’t tell anymore. He’s 2.5 years old now and just by looking at him, you’d never know he had this issue as a baby. I hope all is well with you and your baby!
He’s great! I honestly can’t even tell that his head was misshapen when he was a baby! I’ll try to do a quick update video or reel soon so you can see 😊
