I am a consultant psychiatrist and can vouch for the fact that counting one’s blessings and having a positive outlook towards life is a protective factor when dealing with clinical depression.
So about how traumatised people? I understand the part where shayk Hamza talks about grattitude but in real life I cannot give it a place. There is too much going in the real world. It feels too black and white for me, a world out of my grasp.
One can never stop repeatedly listening to Sh Hamza . May Allah bless him and his family increase and enrich his knowledge and grant him the best reward in this life and the heeafter.
It’s strange that shaytan ended with his promise to Allah that we won’t be grateful after he’s done misleading us, his main goal is to make us ungrateful. Surah araf verse17
Problem here is His main point is right but we must also get the balance and out things in context. Be grateful with what you have but also work towards solving the issues that are currently here whilst being grateful at the same time. You can't accept the wrong that's taking place in the world and be fine with it. You got to balance it out
To be fair, he has repeatedly said multiple times in this lecture, that always complaining and being ungrateful is the condemnable act. He didnt say to be content with your unreasonable state. And he advised us to look inward first and THEN outward in a state of calamity. Be fair to Sh. Hamaza brother.
I came in to express exactly what's said by @alarifth , and yes to agree with your point too @mixedblood82 Please note that Sheikh Hamza at no point asked anyone to be passive against injustices.. but he insisted to be grateful on what comes to you.. I mean, whilst one carries on in their capacity to fight injustices, they need to have Shukr, gratefulness towards Almighty Allah Pak SWT, and they need to refrain from whining and complaining .. They should indeed ask Allah Pak SWT to give them strength and means to fight and correct all injustices, but that should be without complaining. . I'm sure you only tried to shed light on this angle as it wasn't clearly stated by Sheikh (he had a long and complex topic to deal with, and might not have thought of all other angles that people might be inferring from this) I'm sure you inferred the correct view , so did I. . Let's hope most will .. I'm hoping Good IQ people come to hear people of high stature as Sheikh Hamza .. so I'm not worried that they'll misunderstand, In sha Allah ❤
I just pray that Allah swt would give me a chance to be in the presence of sheikh Hamza mashallah . He is a blessing for the entire ummah in theses times . Mashallah what a scholar
Alhamdulillah, me too, but Alhamdulillah there are some people who have huge egos and never reflect, so I am blessed to feel small and ignorant than to be arrogant in my ignorance
❤❤❤ Please note that Sheikh Hamza at no point asked anyone to be passive against injustices.. but he insisted to be grateful on what comes to you.. I mean, whilst one carries on in their capacity to fight injustices, they need to have Shukr, gratefulness towards Almighty Allah Pak SWT, and they need to refrain from whining and complaining .. I’ve been having this same recently in my life where I actively think of all the blessings I really have & how it could be so much worse. Even throughout history things have been worse, some people have this complaining mentality where they think the Muslims in our current time are dealing with the worst when that’s obviously not true compared to how many blessings we have now like running water & electricity. Al Humdulillah for all the blessings.
this guy is one of my favouas hevis very knowledge, is rational, objective, intelligent and intellectual unlike the extreme and subjective various other ignorant muslim preachers and talkers.
I will give my gratitude to allah In any sitution that i am in. الحمد لله على كل حال واشكر الله على نعمه الكثيرة،( الظاهرة والباطنة) التى انعم الله علينا واولها نعمة الاسلام. قال تعالى: وان تعدوا نعمة الله لا تحصوها....الاية"
8:50 Sometimes the worst things are answered prayers. It is deep and beautifully said. Sometimes good things we know can be actually bad and sometimes bad things we know can be actually good.
52:51 - And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained 🤲🏼 Inshallah one day I may gather with you 🤲🏼
When going through something hard remind yourself to be grateful by remembering 1. That it could be worse 2. That it is in your dunya and not your deen 3. That it is in this life and not the next. Be grateful and Allah will give you more to be grateful about, be ungrateful and Allah will give you more to be ungrateful about.
Complaining is often ironically disempowering. Whiners don’t often spend as much energy on transformative grassroots action Things are far from perfect but gratitude will always be a necessity for the human spirit by its design. Hence these verses and reminders. The irony is that with gratitude for what we do have, our reform efforts are also likelier to have deeper spirit and be more sustainable! So with gratitude we are more likely (not less) to be people of transformative action.
The countries to export food products send their best #1 quality products to USA. Ya Rabb make us understand how you blessed us, so we remember to be grateful 🥹 🤲🏽
Last week I was discussing with my sister about those imams making Qunoot on America and making the worst Du'as on America. But I told her that look how funny it is that nowadays we have all these goods Shaikhs from America and how they are a Blessing to the Ummah. May ALLAH swt make us among the Grateful servants. Ameen
Allahuma Barik ya sheikh , Alhamdullilah for every blessing bestowed on us All.May Allah makes us be greatful and increase our barakah fi dunya wa akhira.
Na'am ustad So inspiring May Allah uprising my Deen and always give me hikmah and blessing Subhanallah walhamdulilla wallaillanhaillah wallahuakbar ❤️🌹
I disagree. Many people that are greatful experience depression. Its a test that can be faced by anyone, regardless of how greatful or ungrateful one is. But Allah commands us to remain steadfast in this test and has given us the tools to breakfree from it. If you're depressed and become ungrateful because of that, it doesn't solve anything. Either nothing changes or matters get worse. And being ungrateful does lead to depression if it's done consistently and depends on how ungrateful you are.
Sorry for my last comment, a few hours ago, I was tired at 3am and sat in my room, scared with gangsters smoking outside, and government are not liking me. I didn’t realise you’d hit 65. I should’ve been so harsh. I started watching you maybe 10 -15 years ago and never realised we’d all aged.
Excellent reminder; JazakAllah khairan kathiran kathira. Shaikh, ur Arabic pronunciation is perfect so I’m sure u can pronounce the Urdu word basmati rice properly too. It’s باسࣿمَتی
