Any time there's a new Railroader update or Run 8 release, I always come to your channel to get an in depth look at things. Even if I'm going to get it myself
From what I could find, they added the fuel industry model to alarka proper as well. And Im not sure if I missed it previously but look at west Governors Island, there is a random Red Barn a little ways away from the tracks.
Dillsboro home to the 1993 movie "The Fugitive" starring: Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones prison Bus scene with Train hitting it all took place on that track line at the curve of the Roundhouse 👍🏻👍🏻
The other thing on the nose roof is a steam generator exhaust for passenger service, which is funny because I don't think anybody ever used them for that, but the GP7/9 were, and it doesn't have the generator in it. Lol...
I believe you used to be ble to open the side panels to access the diesel on the GP but now you can't. Not sure if it was a deliberate change or not. Maybe to lessen the "load" of the model on the GPU?
That would be 2 out of 3 operating steam engines on the Strasburg prototypes in the game so far. Personally living in an area where CNR's 2-6-0s worked, I would love to see 89 get included as the third to complete the set. Also still waiting for a heavy 2-8-2 and heavy 4-8-2. Also still waiting for text options as far as sizing goes. The less digits in a number shouldn't mean half the decals get deleted or go oversized on the rolling stock
@ what I’m asking is how do you get mods to work when you are not on the main branch but the experimental branch the last time I tried all the mods did not sync not even the better whistle mod
Ngl, I'll the devils advocate here. Im not particularly impressed. I get, everybody and their mother wants more trains, but I feel like the time and effort put towards rolling stock and locos couldve been put towards fleshing out the map. The modding community has done fine keeping the roster looking fresh, there's not really a need for the core dev team to be doing the same. We've got industries that have been in game since before release that haven't been filled in. Towns are still nonexistent. Loads are still basic at best. No life anywhere on the line at all. I just dont see the need for loco updates when the core game doesn't look finished. That being said, the models do look OK.
I got bored of this game the reason for that is I was always driving backwards tracks didn't turn around so you could go the other way they don't have actual passengers boarding the train and I don't like the way the map was made the map is actually floating in thin air if you go to where the map ends you can see it
@whatusernameis5295 well a map floating in mid air is an issue for me have you ever played grand theft auto 5 on playstation 3 and did the glitch to get under the map the map on there is basically floating above water in places I didn't go to the end of the map with the train I used camera controls to go into camera view then I went to the edge of the map they need to fix the train tunnels there is literally no texture inside the tunnel nothing but pitch black

Eyyy i appreciate Chris o7
The more buildings, the better, and finally some more locomotives that aren't mods for once. This game keeps getting more enjoyable!
Always great content thanks brother.

Oh hell yeah, nice
Thx for the tip
As a Georgia boy, every time I hear you saw Jawja, it does the heart good.
i think Dillsboro's industry additions make it one of my favorite places on the map, It has a busy look to it now
Man i love those industry buildings. Getting back into the game cause of those updates.
Real

They also shot some scenes at the dam over near Robbinsville
@@schnauzahpowahz Cheoah Dam. Super cool place up in that area.

Southern Pacific used SD7's for passenger service, as well as the Central Of Georgia.
"Good looking unit" 😁
I like too that they remodled the P-43 to the USRA heavy pacific
👍
26:15 the tanks are not new for this patch, they where there last patch
SD7 would be great for red marble helper duty

Good point. I do recall the lettering/stencil would get messed up when open
I really wish Railroader would add switching tenders as an option for the 0-6-0 and 0-8-0 locomotives.

I wish they would update the steam version of game as much as the "experimental" version.
Interesting the SD doesn't have dynamic brakes....
I could never get any mods to work in the experimental branch how did you get it to work that’s my question
there not mods
@ what I’m asking is how do you get mods to work when you are not on the main branch but the experimental branch the last time I tried all the mods did not sync not even the better whistle mod
Can I get the new locomotives on railroader without downloading mods
These ones come with the game itself on the experimental branch. No mods required
Noob
@@1TruNub they finally updated their locomotive roster
@@1TruNub Oh wow you sure got him lmao....

you should never be going to the end of the map so thats not a big issue
