@@crazylegoarmy Play the italians. Fast grind with great planes and the jets do not have great firepower but great flying characteristics. The tech tree is small and you can reach for the higher ranks in a couple of weeks without premium. With premium you can grind it in a week (if you play every evening). It is a diffrent experience flying jet aircraft but italians have great starter jets.

Wow this takes me back. Two years ago I had just graduated and had no job and living at my parents home. All I did was play war thunder all day and watch war thunder videos. Allied teams: great planes, but half of the team are bombers/attackers and there is always a fighter with bombs/rockets installed. So you end up alone full of enemy fighters against you.
Precisely, but it makes it more entertaining that way.
At the very least, always being outnumbered will make you improve.

Try flying the premium 109 F4, guaranteed to be outnumbered at least 4 to 1, agaisnt 109s with cannon gunpods. That'll test your pilot skills.

Your aim is impeccable. You still had more then 600 rounds of ammo by the time you had 6 kills.

6:16 To your squadmate: yes he does, but even then, he still manages to get 2 kills. I had the pleasure of seeing you take the Ta-152 out for a spin a couple weeks ago (I was the Do-335 that kept trying and failing to BnZ a P-51).
I've got slightly over 2 kills per game on average, that's a pretty accurate assessment ;).

Taking the F4U-4B out with stealth has got to be the best thing ever in WT- I was prophanging a 152H and I shot one burst then turned away, expecting him to come down after me, but then I got the notification of "Aircraft Destroyed," only to see a flaming 152H with his wing chopped cleanly off

One of my favorite energy fighters in the game. Corsair flaps like coming off above 226 mph and the earlier models like the -1a variants still have the high speed induced rudder bob where the nose lifts up off of target and rolls slightly off center. That has been an issue for six years now during high speed maneuvering. They did a fine job of adding air brakes to the -1a as well since historically their pilots would hand crank the landing gear down slightly during engagements in the Pacific with the Japanese to gain an edge in turning. To model that ingame they simply gave them air brakes for a short time until some whiners came along complaining about "air brakes" never being installed on a Corsair which in a sense is true. Oh well, it was a nice "touch" while it lasted. I can't wait for you to get into the F4U-7 if you're doing this good in the -4 series. I prey for an uptier in the -7 to fight the typical German/Japanese jet teams. Quite a phenomenal beast! Another excellent video and keep up the great work! Also, I'm very glad that you explain your thought process of how you're dissecting the battle as it plays out since no two pilots play alike although they certainly think alike!
Yeah the rudder bob takes some getting used to, but at this point I can perfectly account for it (except when pilot is damaged clearly).
You can still deploy the landing gears at 700+ on Corsairs which provides a small amount of braking.
Do you know how the F4U7 is different from the F4U4B?

Rudder bob is prevalent in the -1a series and luckily isn't shown in later models. That FM has been quarky for years. The air brake feature was just a nice touch by the dev team with knowing the logic behind why they did it. That was pretty cool. The -4 and -7 share the same 2100HP radial. The -4B has a 2300HP upgraded double wasp due to it using more ordnance onboard the airframe as well as the -7 carrying the 20mm cannons. With many different ordnance upgrades the -7 fits well at 6.0 but it's the -4 5.3 BR FM and the -4B 5.7 BR offensive cannons.

Hmm so -7 should be slower than -4B at lower altitudes. Sounds like -7 and -4B should switch BRs.
-4 is 5.0 BR, not 5.3.
I love this plane. I just have trouble above 4k meters since the engine loses power starting at 3k meters.
All engines except turbocharged ones lose power with altitude. The real power loss starts at 4km, so you'll feel it as you near 5km.
even if you manually control the superchargers?
The game does a good job of auto gear switching, manually changing the gears doesn't change much.

I’ve been re-watching this video when I came across the situation that occured at 6:49 (I mean this feature that makes a plane burst into a fireball)
Do you think they removed it in update 1.91? Because i have not encountered it yet, even though i tested the german 30s and 20s (that usually needed one hit to blow the enemy aircraft up) and even the ADENs

How do you climb to that altitude so quickly in the F4U at the beginning of the vid? It takes me about 10 mins of sideclimbing to get to that altitude before I get effectively turned into swiss cheese by BF109s...
Norway is an airspawn map, and F4U4B climbs well.

why dont you zoom in more often?
I think it's bad to zoom in. There's no inherent accuracy bonus to zooming in, it's not COD. You just limit your field of view in a game where awareness is key. Also it forces you to learn 2 types of lead, with and without zoom, slowing down your aim progress.

These AN/M3 cannons seem very overpowered, you 1 shot every plane you hit. I haven't seen that with any other cannons after the cannon buff...

Getting frame drops down to the 20s its definitely time to consider investing in a new PC cause the one you are using aint cutting it if it can barely get 60 fps sustained in War Thunder.

The 4B has better climb and acceleration though because it has much more horsepower.
Depends on the altitude, climb and acceleration advantage switches from one to the other as you climb. They are similar on average.
What? Why would that be the case? The 4B has more MP at most altitudes than the 4.

Satisfactory, but I seem to mind stock aircraft the least. Exception is the stock Bf109K4 though lol.

Most definitely yes. Think a lightened, faster and more powerful 4B.
Also more responsive to controls thanks to spring tabs. The U-5 was an overall improvement in most every way possible.

Most likely, convergence and other info is in the description.
I always used 400. Recently I moved to 600 because I thought that was affecting hitting targets longer-range. But I see in this video you don't have any problems with targets farther away.

Always dogging on bombers. Some people enjoy flying a little bit of everything! Also consider the fact that there is currently the SUMMER event with bombing bases as one of the challenges that can be easily completed. Lastly, If those 2 Lancaster were fighters you may have not gotten an 8 kill match. In a way, they enabled you to get a kickass match by leaving the poor enemies to you.
Of course if the Lancs were fighters it wouldn't have been a UA-cam worthy game! But that doesn't mean I want to encourage people to fly bombers!
